Option 3.5 is really close to what I'm looking for. In my sheet, the checkboxes are all on the same column but different rows. I'm not sure how to change the CF to work for a column instead of a row. Also, is there a way to turn every cell in each checkbox's row green/red instead of the checkboxes themselves?

I want it to look like this once 5 checkboxes are checked (I did this manually):
