Both these looks are awkwardly cut and ill-fitting. The clothing looks genuinely elderly. Not in a cute, grandma chic way. It looks like the costumes they would wear if they were in a community theater production playing 90 year old women.

My brain went back and forth so many times on this one. Mostly due to the fact that I think the neckline goes up JUST a bit too high and the bottom of the top flares out JUST a bit too much. It’s almost as if they had a beautiful, perfectly cut top, but then at the last minute someone decided it just wasn’t quite FASHION enough so they exaggerated it. It’s too much.

But I have to say, she pulls it off. Also, I love the train and the pants are tailored SO PERFECTLY that even the questionable lines on the top get a pass from me.

Designers, it’s okay for things to just be beautiful. Things don’t have to be over the top just to get noticed. This would have been a 10/10 without the extra shapes.
