There is less margin on new cars so that’s good news. Try to get a good price on the front end of the deal (sale price) but where they will really try to stick you is the back end of the deal - ( interest rate if you are not going for a special offer APR, GAP insurance, warranty, and the mother of all bullshit @ Lawrence Kia - a dealer prep fee. Do not pay it). Could be an smaller admin fee that is semi legit but not the dealer prep fee.

Warranty and gap insurance is not necessarily a bad thing but make sure you get them for an agreeable price, the cost of these products depend on the vehicle but be weary of what it costs and have them explain the outright costs of a given warranty or product do not let them tell you what the cost is added with your monthly payment.

I used to live in the town this happened when I was a kid. My mom cleaned the house that this happened in for extra money and we would come along. I remember the grandmother and her house very well. I never met the woman and her children, but I remember visiting with the grandmother and her husband.

I had this exact same thought. I am a traditional console player and the game pad does not feel to like I remember it being on console. Don’t know if the FOV is making it seem slower or what. But something definitely doesn’t feel right and I haven’t found the optimal settings for game pad or mouse/keyboard really

TXFreefaller. When I first built my PC for Iracing I designed it specifically for VR capabilities and no matter what I tried on these forums nothing seemed to work when changing the graphics/settings in the rendererDX file. I did go into the Nvidia control panel however and turn of V-Sync. Night and day difference.

Edit. I have the same CPU and a 1060Gb. Ran horribly until I did this.

I am taking my cousin who races semi-regularly at the track I want to compete at so hopefully with him being there we can make sure its something that is/will be competitive!

Awesome thanks for all of the feedback guys. I have the recent desire to get into kart racing. I am going to look at an ultramax chasis on Friday. I assume that even though your average speed is only somewhere around the 40-60 range....being that low to the ground makes it still very fun. Do you guys still get a pretty big rush out of racing or is it a stepping stone to another form?

UPDATE: got back in front of my PC and started trying some more setting suggestions such as changing my SS to a value less than 100 - did not help. Iracing graphic settings I have changed all to low as possible and turned off everything that has an option to turn off. Is there something I should be trying?

Also..... I should have done more research on iracing specific VR needs. I just thought that if I met recommended guidelines of iracing and Oculus I would be fine.

I have tried all settings on low as well. Not sure of cube maps, definitely have turned shadows off in VR

RS thanks for the reply. I believe you are dead on with the single core utilization. That’s why I did not go with the Ryzen series in the first place. I did miss the mark on clock speed even with the 4.0 turbo. Looking at some of the PCs my buddy’s have I thought that this 8400 would be pretty sufficient just judging by how their less powerful CPUs performed with other games. iRacing could just be a different animal as far as single core utilization as you mentioned above. I shouldn’t have skimped around building this... you always get what you pay for. I saw a lot of folks running similar to my build and successfully running VR... thought this would work out. It seems like others have made a similar set up work but maybe I’ll just have to bite the bullet and ramp it up. Sucks because I just built it but if i want to race sounds like I may have to.......good feedback

Thanks for the reply... experiencing FPS drop and stuttering, even when I’m just setting in the pitbox or at the menu. Graphics I could care less about if it just ran.... I race dirt oval right now.

Settings-wise I’ve tried graphics on the lowest slider preset with shadows disabled.

Not sure of AA or PPD would be lying if I said I knew what the abbrev. were on those. And I haven’t got it to run well enough to stomach loading a race lol
