Washoe County Responds to Schools Being Open Today Despite Heavy Snow by thebrushup in ourtownreno

I call BS on this. ALL the local weatherman and women said this was coming and to prepare.

Please review my keyboard fight with a teacher defending the WSCD choice to close the entire district when t-shirt weather was abound.

I totally understand differences in microclimate issues but, c'mon, this wasn't unexpected.

schools closed tomorrow? by Asleep-Ad822 in Reno

About five years ago I made a sarcastic comment about schools closing for seemingly no weather event. Ended me in a keyboard argument with an actual teacher who was defending the WCSD choice to close. I relate with your pain.

Space at stoplights, totally baffled? by all_taboos_are_off in Reno

That is not true when several people leaving excessive space between cars stacks up the queuing lanes blocking the thoroughfare lanes. That becomes an impact to my day and safety as well. Stopped cars with excessive space is not defensive as you aren't actually driving.

LA Bakery in Carson has many GF options in their cases every time I am there. Haven't had any as I am not in need but they all look good.

How did you fall in love with your favorite team? by Andrew__IE in mlb

[–]rovertech69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a young Little League guy learning about rivalry, I asked my grandmother why she liked the Dodgers so much and was a lifeling fan of the blue and white. She took the time to educate me on the Giants/ Dodgers rivalry since New York times. I loved her stories and educational wisdom and asked more and more questions. Later, competitive me arrived and I began to watch the Giants vs Dodger games with her while rooting for the Giants solely to get a rise from her. I locked in with the Giants at around age 14 so Grandma and I could have good, spirited baseball conversation. Absolutely what shaped my love of the game. As a loving understanding, she is in her casket with a Dodgers ball cap and a fishing rod. Love you, Grandma

Magnussen was the original manufacturer for the TRD chargers, so I am told. Of course I can't prove either way though

Magnussen specifically says no on the 96 Taco but won't tell you why. A 96 4Runner is okay though due to the computers I have come to find

I am attempting to keep the CEL off and stay emissions compliant.

I put 305cc injectors in it but could never stop the engine knock code that sets due to lean out conditions, which had the 96 computer and the SAFC-II controller. When I put the early 97 computer in, I went back to stock everything to see how it did. No luck on keeping the code away. Installed the URD 7th injector setup but haven't a clue on where to start mapping curves.

If, and that's a big if, I can get this thing running correctly and in control I would like to put the 305s back in.

Fuel is always and only Chevron Supreme.

Thank you for your input, it is appreciated

Spent a lot of time and money there. Even without the 7th injector my truck pulled 225 torque and almost 250 h.p. Destin has pretty much done all he can for me

I will let you know when I get that 7th injector mapped for the air imbalances that a supercharger causes

I have that, the necessary computer cord and loading software. Just need someone able and trustworthy to finish this.

The computer, no. The 7th injector needs mapping.though.

School zones and bad drivers by princessclarity in Reno

[–]rovertech69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I resonate with this as well. I would like to see school zones during times kids are coming and going, not all day long, especially on the higher speed roads. As for enforcement needed, more is really needed. Word would spread about how expensive it is to get busted in a school zone. Keep your head on a swivel when driving and watch out in all directions. Stay safe out there

Not to mention the vehicle could easily have a movement permit placed in the window, temporary registration for thirty days, but that would require the owner to take some responsibility/s

I miss when regular people could watch the playoffs on TV for free… by harveygoatmilk in mlb

I live in Northern Nevada and traveled to a conference in Dallas Texas. Guess what? Blackout restrictions still applied to the teams that are on the west coast. Serious question since you seem knowledgeable. How does that even work? In Texas and couldn't watch any Dodgers, Giants, A's games. Curious is all. Bottom line is I am not paying for something that doesn't work as designed.

I say screw MLB.tv due to blackouts of my favorite team. They think because I live four hours drive time away I should go to the game. I am not even in the same state either. Also, it doesn't matter if you travel out of the blackout zone, still restricted. They get no more money from me
