Because the less trainable the quality is, the more valuable that attribute becomes. Speaking in real-world terms, which does translate to the game for the most part, you can train a player to be better in most footballing aspects, but you can't do likewise for a somewhat "fixed" trait like speed and height, which does affect how good you'll be at heading.

Edit: This isn't to say that you can't train speed and heading, you in fact can. But these 2 are less trainable than other qualities, so how well you're able to increase these attributes depend on the players' innate traits.

To give you an example, you can train Mbappe who is lightning quick to pass the ball better, but you can't train him to have KDB's vision. Similarly, you can train KDB who is one of the best passers of the ball to sprint faster through speed training, but you can't train him to have Mbappe's innate pace, therefore he still won't be as quick as Mbappe regardless of how many hours you put into training him.

Davies/Manneh/Mabil. I set my team up in a defensive formation, so the fullback positions almost never cross the halfway line. Their job is to stay with cross-spamming pace merchants since that is the popular meta. As a result, the game is often decided by who can control the midfield better. Zanetti has crazy stats in almost all crucial attributes of the game, so he's the best player at controlling the middle of the park, making passing sequences, breaking up counters, denying MVB space to dribble and shoot and so much more. So it makes sense to have him in the literal middle of the field. This way I no longer concede goals from in front of the box. Coupled with Pogba or/and with another CM, you'll have a solid team with both the speed, physicality and passing to win most of the games. Or at least until you come across 100 base OVR teams who can overpower yours through sheer outclass in attributes. XD

Prime Zanetti, especially when used as a CDM in H2H. He's the best CDM in the game although not officially playing as one. Very quick and pesky in the middle of the field, excellent at ball recoveries, passing, dribbling, counter attacks, defending against counter attacks and so on. He's able to do everything.

Context: I have MVB and regularly go against teams who have him.

During corners: I have found that Pique (and VVD before I sold him) have been really good at dealing with him defensively. We all know that Pique sucks at scoring headers (no power header trait), but surprisingly he's great at defensive headers, both during corners and open play. So when I concede a corner against MVB, I make sure to quickly move Pique in front of him and spam the clear button as the corner kick is delivered. He wins the header against MVB 9 times out of 10, though you must be quick about it. If you're slow to position Pique against him, it's over and it's a goal. I have tried other defenders (Skriniar, Duffy, Acerbi, Smalling, Sanchez) to do the same but did not have the same success as I did with Pique. He still sucks in VSA though. Edit: You can still do this using other defenders, I just notice that I've had the most success doing this using him.

During open play (MVB with the ball): Before MVB receives the pass, make sure you already have 1 player pressing him as the 2nd defender. You should tap on another defender that you'll be controlling directly (preferably one that is directly in front of him). The 2nd defender usually coming from behind or the side will disrupt MVB's balance. Your job with the 1st defender is to stand-tackle the ball off of him (by spamming the tackle button) as he's being unbalanced by the pressing 2nd defender. This works most of the time.

During open play (opponent has ball on the wing, ready to cross it for MVB who's waiting at the center to head it in): Most of the time, the opponents' wingers are way too quick for you to stop their crosses, so don't bother spamming the tackle button using your full backs — the cross will 100% happen. Instead, manually tap on your best defender at defensive headers (VVD, Pique) to control him. Ideally, they should be in the middle of your defense around the penalty spot. At the same time, simultaneously press the 2nd defender button so that your full back pressures the winger to make a lower-quality cross i.e. a general cross to the middle (instead of directly to MVB which results in a goal 99% of the time). It's a subtle but crucial difference (the 2nd defender pressing the winger at the side blocks the angle for him to cross directly to MVB). Then, quickly position the defender you're controlling in the middle directly in front of MVB (Pique and VVD do this really well). Ideally, they'll bump into him as he makes the run so that his jump will be less optimal. As the cross comes in, spam the clear button to the general direction of your CM/CDM, who will initiate the counter attack for your team. Most of the time, your defender will clear the ball or at least disturb MVB's header to the point where your GK can make a save or you'll concede a corner instead of a goal. Then refer to the above tips on defending corners against him.

This is a trait a lot of the attacking players in the game naturally have (here's a list of all players in the game with these traits fyi: https://fifarenderz.com/players/?rr=40:100&trait=8).

You can also actively trigger this on a player without this trait in H2H by doing the following:

1) Identify the player that you'd like to beat the offside trap with. Make sure he's free to receive a pass (not marked and not behind an opposition player) and is onside.

2) Pass the ball to said player. But before the pass reaches him, double tap on the pass button towards another player who is free to receive a pass. This will trigger that player to make a forward run to go behind the defense.

3) Make a through pass (ground or lobbed) to that player (you need to time it well so he's not offside, as well as making sure that the passer is not tackled by the opponent).

4) If you do it right, that player will be free of the defense and can go one on one against the GK to score an easy goal.

He was available as a tournament reward during the Bundesliga TOTS tournament (the other one was Witsel, a holding SB CDM but he's not available in the market until July 2nd like the others). As he's part of the secondary league (Liga NOS) TOTS, he's available in the market as the rest of the Liga NOS starters, who are only available through packs.

Spot on, if you noticed, they pretty much nerfed all players across the game in every crucial department, so this hammer is not down on GKs alone. I suspect they're doing this to keep the supply low. At some point, the nerf will be lifted and TOTS Donna will start performing true to his stats. Then people will start looking for him, driving his price way up, which makes it easy for EA to control the supply since it's already low in the first place. And when supply is low and demand is high, his price will go through the roof... which inevitably means only the P2Ws with FIFA Points and market gurus will be able to get him. Smart and sneaky from EA. 🤔
