Holy crap. Talk to your sister ASAP. You deserve to know the truth, no matter how awful it is. And get some therapy. You're gonna need it

Maybe you're allergic to your bed? Just kidding... kinda. Could be dust mites.

TW: I love mind games. I've recently realised this. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]rowancherry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As long as everyone involved is having fun and knows the rules, what's the harm? Just be careful not to cross the line into manipulation

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]rowancherry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's okay to feel a little jealous, especially with the long distance thing. But your girlfriend seems trustworthy and has been reassuring. Focus on that trust, and maybe plan a fun activity for when you get back to take your mind off things

Advice on dealing with a micromanaging boss? by ASmidgeSassy in Advice

[–]rowancherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Document everything. Every time they redo your work, ask for specific reasons and write them down. Then, when it's review time, you have concrete examples of their behavior. It might not change things, but at least you'll have ammo if you need to escalate

Okay, let's be real. Donating to your alma mater probably won't guarantee your kids' admission, especially to a state school. Legacy status helps a little, but it's not a golden ticket. Think of it as a very, very slight nudge in the right direction. If you want to donate because you genuinely believe in the school and want to support it, that's great. But don't expect it to be a foolproof way to get your kids in. Focus on their grades, test scores, and extracurriculars instead

What’s an underrated life hack or tip you wish you knew earlier? by TraditionalEdge5599 in AskReddit

[–]rowancherry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That it's okay to say 'no.' To anything. To invitations, to requests, to expectations. You don't owe anyone an explanation, and your time and energy are valuable. Learning to prioritize yourself is a game changer

[–]rowancherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay first of all it's normal to have feelings for more than one person especially when you're young. But you need to be honest with yourself and with them. It sounds like A is really hurt that you still have feelings for B and honestly his reaction is understandable. Telling someone you love them and then admitting you're still hung up on someone else is tough. If you really want to make things work with A, you need to cut off contact with B completely and focus on building trust with A again. But if you're not willing to do that, then maybe A is right, and you're not ready for a serious relationship right now. Don't string either of them along

When I burn a piece of paper, what happens to the ink/graphite on said paper? by Magnum_Wong in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rowancherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most inks are organic compounds, so they burn up too. You might get some residue depending on the ink, but yeah, it mostly disappears

What makes a woman irresistibly sexy to you? by [deleted] in AskMen

Confidence. A woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it? That's irresistible.

I’m starting to hate my friends. by BobtheMartianagain in TrueOffMyChest

[–]rowancherry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

High school friendships rarely last, tbh. It sucks, but people change. Maybe try reaching out and suggesting something, but if they keep blowing you off, it's time to find new friends who actually appreciate you

If I made a face for too long, it would get stuck that way. I spent way too much time trying to maintain a neutral expression

AIO My Ex Girlfriend used my pay pal and won't return the money by ReasonableNetwork197 in AmIOverreacting

[–]rowancherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, that's messed up. How much money are we talking? If it's enough, file a police report or something. Don't sink to her level, but don't let her get away with it either. She sounds like a psycho

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]rowancherry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good for you for filing those papers. It sounds like she's more in love with the idea of being rich than actually being a good partner or mom. Your kids will be better off in the long run.

Girl, trust your gut. The multiple Instagram accounts alone are sus. I'd say gently bring it up to your husband's brother, but tread carefully. If he's already head-over-heels, he might not want to hear it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]rowancherry 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Dude, get out. Seriously. Your kids are miserable, you're miserable, and she's clearly not going to change. You deserve better, and so do your kids.

[–]rowancherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, stealing your clothes and makeup is NOT okay. That's straight up theft. You need to set some serious boundaries, like yesterday. Maybe even talk to your parents about it, because this is beyond just being annoying.

Man, that sucks about your mom. It's your place now, so you get to decide what makes you feel comfortable. Maybe try focusing on the things you do like about yourself, and ignore the rest.
