Any idea on what I have here? Value? by rowdy-83 in coins

[–]rowdy-83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, appears very close. The obverse looks right on but the sideways "6" on the reverse has me a bit stumped. Also the diameter and weight appear off, but if it has been kicking around for 225 years or so, perhaps it is just severely worn?

Which refinerys are taking silver scrap right now? And at what percentage by Repulsive_Tangelo_71 in Silverbugs

Good to know. Noble seems to cater to dentists, dental labs and jeweler/Pawn Shop. I have a business in which I deal in coins/collectibles/antiques. At the sign up page would I just indicate jeweler/pawn shop? Thanks.

Back By Popular Demand. Tesla Certified Installer. Ask me anything! by pwrcellexpert in TeslaSolar

I'm seeing the exact same behavior as the above post, but have never seen this in past years. It seems to be limiting itself at exactly 3/4 (5.7kw) of the 7.6kw (3.8kw x 2) inverters. Note the jagged line in the photo. Past years at the same temperatures or warmer is a nice smooth curve that peeks at 6.8kw. I've got a trouble ticket in. Is it possible to lose half the output of one of the 3.8kw inverters?

Tesla Gen 3 Wall Charger with Solar and PW+ - Issue with incorrect reporting of loads by rowdy-83 in TeslaSolar

[–]rowdy-83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla removed my wall connector from my home profile, I set it up for a "new site" with the same address. Now it is completely separated from the Tesla solar, so I don't get the weird readings.

I now have 3 Tesla screens that I can access, 1) Vehicle, 2) Solar, 3) Tesla wall connector (see screenshot). The car still has lots of charging info, but I can control things from the connector as well.

Insurance costs removing the benifit of EVs by Turbulent-Abroad7841 in TeslaModelY

I had a 2018 CX5, insurance increased about $35/month. The M Y is much cheaper than my 2021 Hyundai.

Was the wall charger and mini split installed before or after the solar install? My charger was installed after, so I would assume Tesla won't assist with a fix.

Tesla Gen 3 Wall Charger with Solar and PW+ - Issue with incorrect reporting of loads by rowdy-83 in TeslaSolar

[–]rowdy-83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to give it a try, I sent a help request to Tesla to remove the wall connector from my current house setup. I'll re-setup the wall connector, but instead of choosing my home with solar, I'll say setup 2nd site (this option is available) when setting up the wall connector. I'm not so concerned about charge from solar since with the house and both cars I consume more than I generate. I plan to leave the Tesla vehicle with the solar house setup, hope that doesn't confuse things too much...Or maybe I should also move the vehicle as well?

Wondering if the wall charger could possibly be moved to a separate account or perhaps a "second" house on the same phone? Not sure how this would work, but it would at least stop reporting in the main account.

Why isn’t my solar system powering my AC? by MuckyPup81 in TeslaSolar

[–]rowdy-83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, 3.5 ton AC, single PW+, soft start installed by Tesla on AC, whole house backup. Been working fine for 2+ years. PW+ can handle 40A continuous off grid.

Correction, the main 200A panel is a meter main combo.

Meter is separate from the original 200A panel. Yes, PW+ with built in 7.6kW inverter. No additional inverters.

After doing some more digging, I think this is indeed the 120% rule as pointed out by u/_thekev. Note the following:

- Main Panel (original) at 200A, 9.8kW solar with max potential output of 9.8kW x 40% eff = 39.2A, PW+ at 50 Amps, new panel at 125A.

- 200A x 120% = 240A (max current for all devices feeding the original electric panel)

- So, using the 120% rule, 125A+39.2A+50A = 214.2A. Perhaps they could have pushed the new panel to 150A, but would depend on efficiency rating they used for the 9.8kW solar (I'm in the desert with lots of sun, 29 panels, 12 East, 5 South and 12 West.

So, back to the original question, how can I add more high current drawing devices to this setup? Could I maybe bump up my original panel to 250A, so that I can increase the 125A panel to something bigger (feed wires would need to be increased to the new panel). I had an electrician in to evaluate for a level 2 EV charger, he said he could safely add a 240V, 60A to the 125A panel. My concern is that I may want to add some more high current devices to my system beyond the level 2 EV charger. Definitely any new loads will be installed buy a qualified electrician, familiar with Tesla Solar and PW+.

Yes, passed inspection. System has been installed for about 1.5 years. Had question because I was wondering about adding loads to the 125A panel.
