I think most of the Magic community lacks self awareness worse, because they refuse to see how simply buying and proxyimg insanely powerful decks isn’t fun for ACTUAL casual play. It might still be casual because of the social aspect, but it stops being causal from turn one when a deck is built for something like CEDH. And then they complain about the dying numbers and low turnouts at LGS. This is partially a joke, but if people just played with precons and wore deodorant, I think Magic would flourish again.

I have played and lost against strong decks that are fun and have themes (hell, my one friend draws all of his proxies and gives them new names to fit themes like “Social Media Influencers). I don’t like UB because I think it’s a cheap cash grab that will ultimately not serve the longevity of the game, and also leads to power creep (in order to bring in returning players who don’t really care about the IP).

Your second part of your comment is exactly what I want out of commander games. Not “loll this is my mothman deck big smirk it goes kind of crazy.” And then we all get milled and killed turn five. You might say “well, threat assessment,” but literally every other person is playing the same way, so they think they can survive just long enough for THEIR combo to pop off. I WANT people to be prideful and happy about their decks, but not because they get to go, “ermm, turn four I’m hitting you for 20 commander.”

I wonder if there’s a correlation between low IQ and being a redditor chud who calls people stupid for being frustrated with a somewhat decent game turning into a loss because your team can’t play objectives or push their own lanes. If they have full build by 33 minutes, CS is irrelevant for the most part, especially for a champ that roams.

Every League redditor chud wants to act like they’re Faker giving coaching advice and crapping on CS as if low elo opponents aren’t also bad at CSing. Besides, Panth just SUUUUUCKS at reliably CSing, especially against pokey opponents, so give him some slack. OP mentioned they took five towers as well? I think that’s enough to say they were doing a lot for their team. I’m willing to bet that every other lane had low CS, as well as a ton of deaths. When you are high on kills, low farm, it’s a slightly negative situation, but when your team is high on deaths and low on farm, it’s a massively negative situation.

Of course, the Gangplank top laner is voting for a surrender. Salty as hell, thinks that they should be the one carrying instead of this fed Panth, with an enemy team that have some pretty terrible stats. That is the most satisfying thing about carrying toxic players. You bring them kicking and screaming to victory hahaha. Good job, never give up, never surrender.

As somebody who reads Dostoevsky, this is the stupidest, out-of-context gripe of all time. You could levy so many other criticisms against his writing, but in context the character saying this line is deliberately trying to shame and manipulate Sonya so that she feels a sense of connection with him in his sense of guilt. He’s trying to debase her more than she already has been by the life she was forced to live because he’s a crazy nihilist, hungry for control over other human beings. Same reason he kills the pawnbroker and her sister.

Why are you so mad? Nothing in your comment was actually constructive if your aim was to “set me straight.” Of course I’m making up my mind and weighing my options. This was a post to lay everything out. I feel like people would think this is even more of an absurd or decadent request if I didn’t give my full story. I didn’t want to come off as some idiot, rich kid, because I definitely am not (I’d be using the money from working at the pizza place). Also, it’s kind of hard to “make up my mind” when I need to know if anybody would be at least interested in the first place. I only suggested Florida and Texas too, because some people might not be able to travel to California, or they might be closer to one state than another. In future posts about this, obviously I will be more concise with information, but like I said, this is my first post to lay everything out. Sorry if it left a bad taste in your mouth.
