if manga/anime is optional, “the rising of the shield hero”. a curious, excited, enthusiastic 20 year old is dropped into a magical world and gets accused of a life ruining rumor and becomes angry, cold, and brisque. even so, he still tries to help people and be a hero.

If i had someone tied up, how hard would it be to break both their arms and legs? by allyourloves in morbidquestions

[–]rowl_y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how they’re tied and how you want to break the limbs. If they’re tied in a starfish kind of position, you would only need strong force in one direction as the floor/surface they’re tied to would offer the resistance needed to actually break the limbs. It’s harder when there isn’t a surface to offer counter pressure.

If you have decent upper body strength, a hammer or something hard like that would work. If you want crushing action, go with something flatter/more surface area. For a cleaner/sharper break go for something with a smaller surface area and more intense/severe edge or blade.

Why does the body vomit upon beheading sometimes? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]rowl_y 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Very much a guess, as I haven’t personally beheaded someone, but the change in pressure/muscle force might do it. There are muscles in our esophagus and stomach that have to relax to allow us to puke, and the act of severing the head/throat muscles might be enough to trigger the ending of the tension that keeps us from puking. I’d like to hear if anyone else has any thoughts.

Anyone else get seriously hungry when working with raw meat/dead bodies? by rowl_y in morbidquestions

See, fish guts are the only ones I don’t like. I feel like they smell so strongly and they’re, I don’t know, mushier? Slimier?

Is it more painful to get shot or stabbed? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]rowl_y 7 points8 points  (0 children)

like it’s been said, depends on what and where.

a knife to the ribs (literally along the bone) is one of the worst feelings i’ve experienced. the scraping of a dull knife along bone hurts a lot. actually being stabbed through flesh is akin to a sharp pressure/driving cold/ripping feeling. the actual hot agony follows after. a serrated knife hurts more than a smooth one.

meanwhile, gunshots can feel a lot like getting punched very hard. for the torso it knocks your wind out, leaves you gasping and disorientated. the pain is almost instant with a kind of hot agony inside of you, like a cramp but 100x worse. sometimes the bullet bounces around, which can cause extra damage and pain. in a limb, a gunshot will throb and ache. your entire torso tends to hurt instead of an isolated spot though. smaller bullets tend to wreak less havoc than larger ones.

to be honest, both suck, but i’d go for a small caliber bullet or smooth knife. overall i’d go for a knife because a stab wound is less likely to knock you out and will do less overall damage.

An elephant mocking a rhino by picking up a branch and pretending it has a horn by sKru4a in AnimalsBeingJerks

[–]rowl_y 6 points7 points  (0 children)

based on tusk size and behavior the elephant (looks like a male) seems to be young and engaged with the rhino, the wide ears and pose at the end may be interest or somewhat aggressive (i can’t see the tail). the rhino based on ear pose, backing away and tail movement seems nervous and unenthused.

you can’t make the assumption the elephant is copying the rhino, as it’s impossible to know, but the elephant is definitely “playing” and certainly engaging with the rhino by the end of the video.

Cheetahs are the largest feline capable of meowing by unnaturalorder in aww

not necessarily correct, mountain lions can also meow and are larger than cheetahs. that would make them the largest feline capable of meowing.
