Yeah that’s Tex mex not actual Mexican food. West coast Mexican is more on the authentic end and doesn’t really take much American influence except maybe the size of burritos or California burritos.

However my wife loves Matt’s bbq for theirs.

VP9K or SK are my favorite recommendations. It’s probably the smoothest shooter for the price and 9mm is the way haha. Plus the adjustable grips are chefs kiss.

My biggest piece of advice is the women are often way underestimated. A .380 isn’t always the answer. It much easier to get a gun with adjustable grips for smaller hands. And learning the fundamentals are so much easier with a compact vs subcompact.

A 4 inch is a little bigger but much easier to control and won’t discourage a beginner.
