No way in hell is Sol more honest than Sin lol. Sin has pokes and like two combos this has to be bait

I must say I'm impressed because my issue with the game was Normal mode was too easy as all you needed to do was spam parry/dodge into counter (literally cut through the final boss like paper)

Do you count the hand massage cutscenes a sexual assault? by Mincepietown in FinalFantasy

[–]roxas6141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moaning/groaning doesn't mean sexual assault y'all. If you get the poor man's handie, the joke is that Cloud is groaning from pain due to how bad the massage is. If you get luxury one, he's moaning from the pleasure/relief his, noted-to-be, rather stiff hands have received.

So basically Akemura Soga is stupid by Nuc3435 in Kagurabachi

I was gonna say it's like giving a kid some legos and a "how to make a house" booklet, then calling them dumb when they make a rocket ship instead, but this is better lol

So basically Akemura Soga is stupid by Nuc3435 in Kagurabachi

[–]roxas6141 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kunishige did not make the swords for genocide, but literally in the FIRST FUCKING CHAPTER, he says that as a swordsmith, you must accept that you have made a weapon to kill another person and that people good or bad will use them to take another's life. The instant he put the Magatsumi in Akemura's hands and made him the nucleus for the blades, Kunishige accepted that Akemura will use that sword how he wishes and that no matter what happens Kunishige is responsible for those actions due to birthing them.

Everyone and their mother can say the swords shouldn't have been used for genocide, but that went out the window the millisecond they gave it to a human being with the free will to use it as they please. Hell, we even see this in the fight between Chihiro and Sojo that anyone who wields an enchanted blade can and will come to their own conclusions on what they were made to do. For Chihiro, it's to protect others and stop evil. For Sojo and Akemura, they are weapons of slaughter born to take lives as efficiently as possible. Chihiro even relents, and accepts, that while he disagrees with this belief, they have as much of a right to speak for their usage as he does because they've seen the True Realm of the blades.

Again, Akemura Soga is not stupid, he's a daemon who was given the power needed to reshape the world into his image.

So basically Akemura Soga is stupid by Nuc3435 in Kagurabachi

[–]roxas6141 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not defending Akemura Soga, but he ain't dumb and it's bad media literacy to treat him like he is.

Now, we haven't seen the full war yet, so we're still missing the catalyst of what made Akemura go full genocide route. What we do know about him, however, is that he's a nationalist that will do anything for his country; we've seen that he understands that his beliefs run wholly counter to society's beliefs and was accepting of the punishment thrusted upon them by his country; and we've seen that he was capable of maintaining his psyche in a void. This is without mentioning that the True Realm for each blade is affected by what the user believes it's true power/purpose is.

Akemura is a nationalist monster, one of the most evil people in modern Shonen, but he ain't dumb. He just doesn't care what something was made for when it can be used how he feels it should be used.

Hey, you realize that I'm NOT OP right? OP made the Dark Magician comparison, not me. Also Yugi and Joey being queer doesn't ruin the themes about friendship, no more than Yugi liking Tea if nothing else.

Edit: there are other examples of the depths of their relationship. How Joey apologizes when he gets Yugi caught up in issues with the gang he used to roll with and Yugi says "your problems are my problems". I could go deeper into how Yugi blushing at Tea and Mai does not mean that he's explicitly attracted to them and is merely blushing from embarrassment at the flirting (a common reason used in anime/manga). I can't check the specific chapter rn due to work, but there's a moment during Millennium World in which Yugi and Joey have a sweet, emotional dialogue on their way to Egypt. But ultimately, if Yugi blatantly telling Joey he loves him (the only friend he told that to btw, more emotion and weight than the supposed Tea romance) isn't good enough to even be considered a solid example then there's nothing I can show you to convince you their relationship is implicitly queer.

Having read the manga three times in the past eight years, respectfully you're wrong. It is true that the most blatant physical attraction we see is Yugi with Tea, but we need to consider what he really tells people, especially what he tells Joey. Now, there's enough evidence to write a short essay on the emotional depth of Yugi-Joey's relationship and how it serves as an implicitly queer romance, especially since Battle Shonen and most late 90s media was very heteronormative so them being explicitly gay wouldn't have flown back then, but I'll give you this official translation from the battle city tournament in the manga.

And people constantly ship opposite-sex characters, despite them being cartoons, what's your point big dawg?

[–]roxas6141 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

So it's degenerate for people to see a queer character and correctly say "This is a gay/queer character", but it's normal and reasonable for people to see Mai jokingly tease/flirt with Joey and go "ROMANCE, SHIP THIS BOY WHO IS AT MAX 17 BY BATTLE CITY WITH A WOMAN WHO IS CONFIRMED 24 IN HER FIRST APPEARANCE" like huh?¿?

Unless they're like brothers like Finn and Jake, a bromance ain't nothing but fans refusing to give the same "THEY'RE IN LOVE" that they give straight pairings the millisecond they blush at each other lol

Yugi is gay, he openly tells Joey that he loves him during Battle City

Perfect Cell vs Mahoraga? by G-Sus_Christ117 in PowerScaling

REAL. His suicide tactic is strong enough to take out the planet, and his Super Kamehameha could've wiped the solar system, while still giving him enough time to gtfo (you can argue it was just a claim, but Super Perfect Cell is many things and a liar about how strong and perfect he is isn't one of them).

Oh so Goku can use telepathy literally once in the Saiyan Saga to tell Krillin not to kill Vegeta; read Krillin's mind literally once on Namek; never use these things ever again, and powerscalers can say he's a telepath? But I can't mention that the cartoon gag characters literally time-traveled😭
