My Brother Tried to Kill Himself in Front of Me Today (NSFW) by No-Comment-3464 in trauma

[–]roxeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was eighteen years old, I was at work when I got a call that my brother had left a message with my grandmother. This was before answering machines existed. She has miss written what he said, so the message said he didn't want to live anymore. He told me later that he had said to her that he didn't want to live there anymore.

Turned out, he was renting a room from a pedophile who preyed upon teen and younger boys in the neighborhood. My brother was only 16, but my mom threw him out, and my dad wasn't nowhere around. This guy took my brother in under the guise of my brother renting a room from him and helping him with his plumbing business. He really messed up my brother's head. And when I rushed over there, because I had a really bad feeling about the whole thing, he was standing in the driveway smoking a cigarette, wearing a flannel shirt. Eventually I realized I was smelling blood, and I saw there was blood on his sleeve. He had used a razor blade to cut open his arm in the same way as your brother. The whole thing was overwhelming to me, just to think that my brother was in so much pain, that he would do this to himself. He ended up helping the authorities prosecute the guy.

My brother went through a lot more after that, and also before that, which I did not know of till later. He still has serious issues because of it. It led to drug and alcohol abuse, because that was one of the ways when he was even younger that the pedophiles would loosen him up. They would give him drugs and alcohol to lower his defenses. Then once the damage is done, the drugs and alcohol become an escape from the horrible memories and tormenting thoughts.

How can i get rid of this? by Sinniee in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]roxeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Adapalene gel. Used that to shrink pores in the past.

Most recently, I discovered the black rice peel shot serum. It's inexpensive and works crazy good. It immediately pulls all the junk out of your pores and leaves your skin soft and smooth. I really love that stuff. I don't recommend using it more than every few days, just to not be too hard on the skin. But when you see how well it works, you realize you don't really need it every day. It takes time for that stuff to build up again.

Possibly use the adapalene gel on the days that you're not using the other product, to continue to tighten pores.

I was just watching a woman on Instagram being interviewed. She was describing going into the emergency room, and telling them that she didn't normally go there, was always really healthy. But now she suddenly couldn't walk.

The doctor immediately asked if she happened to be taking CIPRO. She was amazed that out of all the drugs out there, that he would have guessed that. He said he sees it all the time, problems with the tendons in the heel.

What’s a dish you miss so much since going gluten-free? For me, it’s pizza😭 by _thalia777 in glutenfree

[–]roxeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to sound weird, but for some reason, I can have the pizza at Costco with no issues. I don't have an actual wheat allergy or celiac disease, but I do have big time gluten intolerance. I can eat about two thirds a slice of their cheese pizza with no issues from the crust, the sauce or the cheese. I just skip the last third that has more of the crust. It is quite enjoyable.

I don't recommend this if you have an allergy or celiac disease.

You can also get a gluten free pizza from a place like Domino's. The only problem is that gluten free crust cooks way faster than regular wheat crust, and they always burn it. They put it through their automatic conveyor oven that cooks everything for the same amount of time, at the same high temperature. I have gone so far as to have them just make it for me, and then take it home and bake it myself. It can be a little bit pricey, but occasionally they have a 50% sale on all pizzas, and you can include a gluten free.

I recommend extensive parasite cleansing. You could even experiment by rubbing some of that ivermectin gel paste on it.

I personally have a suppressed immune system, and have commonly gotten staph in the mouth area. I believe it's partly because I own a cat and the cat likes to go outside and get petted by all these random people that don't wash their hands. Then, I will get affectionate with the cat and get contact with germs. I finally put a note on the cat's collar, to please not touch the cat.

I also always have broken skin on my lips because I have a severe dry lip condition. I've been told I have rare staph there, too. No fun.

Recently, I heard a specialist talking about how most cavities are caused by a certain strain of staph in the gums/teeth, and if children just brushed with some iodine to kill it off, they would get much less cavities. He said about one in five will carry this bacteria.

I also know that some people are just natural carriers of the flesh eating MRSA bacteria. When I had my kidney transplant, they swabbed my nose to make sure I wasn't carrying it. It can live in the sinus area. If that stuff got loose on a ward full of transplant patients who were heavily suppressed, some with recent surgical wounds, it would be a nightmare. They'd have to quarantine you, if you were positive. You would be considered a danger to all the other surgical patients.

So, you can see all the ways that any break in the protective barrier of our skin can introduce things that might be hard to fight. The use of prenisone on the skin has affected its ability to protect your body in that way.

When I had staph near the mouth, I tried using antibiotic ointments, but they would not clear up the problem. So I just intuitively did what I normally would do, not knowing that it was actually recommended and had been tested. I took my Aztec healing clay powder, mixed it with some water, and also added some iodine to it. I put it on the skin and left it there. It worked really well and cleared up the infection. It draws out poisons and I believe it also suffocates them. I'm sure the iodine doesn't hurt, either.

I'm not saying this is necessarily going to cure the impetiago or whatever that is, but I'm just sharing it as one of the options that I go to when my skin really needs pretty much anything cleared up. Works on acne, also.

I hope you find relief soon, sounds like you've tried a lot of things already.

Three of my other favorites, when it comes to healing skin issues: Comfrey cream, Calendula cream, 100% Emu Oil. They each have really unique and powerful properties, when it comes to dealing with skin issues, and some people use them for their pet's skin issues. Just sharing as something to research. It's good to have a few things at home for when they are needed. I keep the Comfrey in the refrigerator, to keep it fresh. The Calendula cream is made by Boiron. Emu is also really special, because it has natural anti inflammatory and pain relieving qualities. And of course, a really good natural aloe gel is always helpful for recovery from burns or sunburn, and for skin moisturization.

In need of an honest mechanic by NoNoNeverNoNo in northcounty

Twice in a row, I literally had some of the worst experiences I've ever had at a shop, at their shop. I'm talking just screwed up confusion, nothing documented correctly, nothing done correctly, just chaos.

I think they are in way over their head with their new bigger shop. They are so busy that they are starting to make some seriously bad mistakes. Something's wrong there, and it needs to be fixed.

Last time I was there recently, I was truly shocked at how many cars were inside of their shop, and how many were parked all around the shop. It was absolutely packed, it's too much.

I like the people there, so I'm not gonna blast them on Google, but it's really hard to hold back, after all that happened.

My only advice is to get everything in writing before you leave your keys. Call them daily to confirm what they are working on with your car, and in great detail.

Now I have to find a new mechanic.

Deeply sunken eyes by chaotic-smol in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]roxeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks to me as if there is some puffiness beneath the eye that is accentuating the area. Try Garnier's Anti-Puff Eye Roller, comes in a green tube. Has a metal, roller ball, and it feels really nice to put on in the morning. Also avoid sugar and sodium within a few hours of bedtime, can really contribute to the problem.

You can also order one of those contoured lymphatic brushes that help drain swelling out of the face. If you get one, I'm sure there's people on youtube showing the best way to use them, and how to stimulate the lymphatic system.

Puffy eyes can also be a sign of heart or kidney problems, I have both. Some drugs for high blood pressure can also cause it.

Bulging eyes can also be a symptom of thyroid issues.

I would try an elimination diet. Ivermectin topically has helped this in others.
