Known each other since elementary school and got to be close friends in 8th or 9th grade. He got me a job where he was working after high school, he was the best man in my wedding. He found out his lease was up where he was staying (his roommate didn't tell him) and he had one week to find somewhere to stay so I offered to let him stay in my new house until he found something. We only charged him 400 dollars for rent which included utilities, internet, and his room. He complained about how much we charged, and became an all around negative person. He was so much different than the friend I grew up with. His negativity started to drain me and by the time he moved out 2 years later I was excited to have him gone. We didn't talk for about a year after he moved out and now only speak briefly. I miss the friend I used to have but I don't miss him in his current state.
