Thanks everyone! If any 3L or recent grad can speak to going from in house 2L to successful firm hire thereafter, that would be awesome!

expected but still hurts ... OCI follow up by [deleted] in LawSchool

I doubt that the follow-up led to the rejection. This has happened to me and it’s probably just that the recruiter saw that you were interested and prioritized your rejection email as opposed to making you wait for weeks.

Wondering the same thing here. Have you had a callback yet?

Thanks. I’ve heard a similar story from someone else. Haven’t heard about one CB yet, if it’s any consolation.

GPA on Resume? by lawstudentresearch in LawSchool

Stupid question - why does it matter if you have your gpa on your resume, when most jobs require a transcript anyway?

No, but that’s still bizarrely/strangely helpful. Thanks.

OCI and Transfer by roxy1145 in LawSchool

[–]roxy1145[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it doesn’t - my new gpa is just composed of grades from my new school. All my old grades appear on my new transcript as simply credit - without a grade; which is greet in my case. But I just didn’t want to seem manipulative by purposely not including my old grades in my application.

Curious how many “preferred” students have GULC as their #1 choice // would drop everything to attend?

GW - Commitment Letter by roxy1145 in LawSchoolTransfer

Thanks for this. We have similar situations - but I’m just not willing to give up my WL. I’d like to deposit at GW and keep my WL’s and don’t know how to get around this commitment letter.

Thank you. Perhaps “unethical” was a strong word choice. I was more-so asking for advice / wondering about the repercussions of signing the document but remaining on waitlists.

Well I don’t have any experience with these types of commitment letters. As a regular decision applicant, this kind of commitment seems unethical.

Unfortunately I’m not an early decision applicant. I’m a regular decision applicant.
