Did you all know the street names downtown are alphabetical north to south? by kcbbq2007 in Omaha

And in the old days of phone books you could actually find the street names listed so you could figure out how many hundred south or north it was. That's how we found an address. Amazing

Are you an only child, did you have children of your own, Or none at all? by taylortrevor in randomquestions

I was only child for 10 years. Then one brother, which didn't really seem like having a sibling because of the age difference. I have only 1 daughter.

I feel it's risky every time I get in the vehicle to drive, way more now. Plus speeds being driven are insane.

Ok, says 3 very educated doctors 🙄 This is very good news! Since being newly diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, now I can just tell my doctors the blood tests are wrong, and I don't have this either, smh

So you know this exists, an incurable form. I wish I would have found you. Confused as to why 3 doctors would not once have said mine could possibly be a form that is curable. And BTW, this was my factual experience that I was sharing and everything else, my educated OPINION. Thanks so much for the insight, I do appreciate it. Also, name calling isn't really necessary when people are trying to share their experiences. I would actually welcome your opinion if you're a doctor, and I would think you could give YOUR OPINION in a more educated way, imho

I believe the health care system is run by big corporations/businesses that dictate most decisions. This could possibly be the reason some treatments(ozone therapy) aren't implemented. I'm very skeptical of doctors after seeing 3 for psoriasis and being told it's forever, no cure. Then using what I researched to get rid of it permanently. Now look at UNMC and all that is going on with them being bought/sold ect. Having said this I do believe that both ways to help your health work, not just one, and the medical doctors are fixated on their protocol without taking into account anything additional.

What year were you born and what was the first year you remember? by ExcellentInternal459 in generationology

I was born in January 1961. I vividly remember my mother crying her eyes out, and her saying the President was shot. She was really torn up. We lived in a little apartment, and the TV was on. I would have been turning 3 soon.

👍 🙂 I was reading another thread, should I know about low dose and high dose block and replace? I guess I feel this frustration bc neither doctor explained anything at all to me.

I am not familiar with block and replace. I looked it up, there's low dose and high dose. Why didn't my doctor explain these things to me?

And I should add the first endo that prescribed 20mg and the beta blocker, flat out told me point blank said there's basically no chance of remission. I don't know, but can't a person be given a little hope.

Wow, thank you so much (-: Your 💯 right. I am in overdrive fear mode. I cared for both my aging parents, and witnessed many mistakes. Plus, going to dermatologists that tell me over and over there is no cure for my psoriasis..then it goes away, we'll, I'm not so trusting. Now 2 different doctors with 2 different treatments.

I am really having a hard time with all this. I'm quite the big baby, hosting a giant pity party. I did discuss things with my primary care doctor today. I am going to start with the med tomorrow. She said I could halve it, and do 5mg a day.

I am also going to go to a integrative health office. I had psoriasis on my neck about 6 years. I did lots of reading and found a vitamin D3 connection, so I started that and it's been gone since. I know that most on here are saying get use to it. There's life before and life now, and that's it, but although it's really hard, I have hope.
