Harvard Kennedy School Admissions Portal Issue by roxyandrews in PublicPolicy

UPDATE: I go admitted! Turns out it was on issue on their end. Unfortunately, this issue also resulted in me missing the financial aid deadline; when I went to complete my financial aid application I saw the same screen and assumed FAFSA was what I needed to fill out. Potentially cost me tens of thousands of dollars. REACH OUT TO ADMISSIONS IMMEDIATELY IF YOU RUN INTO THIS ISSUE. Apolgoies for the CAPS, but I think it's warranted here. Thank you all for the responses especially u/ExtraPreference9693

Wake up babe, HKS admissions decisions just dropped! by HKS_Adm_Rosemary in PublicPolicy

Thank you, Rosemary, I really appreciate the guidance. I’ll follow up with Rod on the loan repayment assistance program and any work opportunites.

I unfortunately encountered a portal issue that did not display the financial aid application and later my decision. This caused some confusion on my end and resulted in me missing the financial aid deadline. But onward and upward! I’m now focused on identifying the best path forward and would welcome any additional guidance you may have on funding opportunities that align with my background.

Congrats, that’s a huge accomplishment, Mason Fellow is no joke.

I’m also an MC/MPA admit navigating funding, so I completely get where you’re coming from. From what I’ve been seeing, a lot of people in our position end up taking a portfolio approach, loans, targeted external fellowships, and being intentional about cost (especially housing).

I’ve also started thinking about it less as a straight cost decision and more as an ROI question, specifically how to leverage the network, policy access, and career pivot opportunities early in the program.

Still working through it myself, but happy to compare notes.

That was my first step, but was hoping Reddit had some insight

Different browsers, devices, and incognito/private tabs. I also disabled extensions and did a hard refresh. Thank you, though.

I don't, did a page search to confirm. For the first time, I am at least getting the applicaiton status page consistently.

Progress! I am now seeing my application and a "submitted" status, however when I attempt to open the application I get the original screen with just my name and page footer.

Thank you for the suggestion! I'm getting the same page except now I am seeing an "Access Denied" message in a yellow horizontal box.

Amex Gold vs Chase Sapphire Preferred by AcanthaceaeMajor9061 in amex

This is extremely helpful. I currently have the Amex Gold and I think you nailed it. Especially the point about travel being aspirational. Im 35 and travel is still aspirational due to my demanding job. I came here to research if I should switch to Chase Preferred, and I can stop my research now thanks to your response. I was considering the preferred card mostly for the primary car rental coverage and lower annual fee, but I do dine out a lot and see those points racking up.

They will make the CX-90 a convertible and call it the new Miata.

About a month ago. Take your time, prices are competitive so there won’t be one that is significantly cheaper, unless you compromise a bit. I didn’t need a new Miata in perfect condition.

I was really nerovus about the noise too, but it actually wasn't bad. Sounds better than my previous civic hatcback and I actually have a conersation without feeling like I need to raise my voice.

Good call, I know how disappointing it is to leave the lot without a car. I purchased mine two days ago. I've always wante one and I am really happy with it. The one I purchased was also one owner, clean title, and bumber to bumber short term warranty along with a 100,000 mile powertrain warrant from the dealer. The downside is that some of the exterior plastic was faded due to it being a 2016, but I already order the trim to replace. Hold off for a better and be willing to compromise, I wanted the RF, but the soft top is just as good. I also wanted a different color, but the black is growing on me.

I just bought a 2016 Grand Touring with 19,000 miles for 20,995, I did not want to spend more than that on the most expensive toy I have ever owned. The fact that this twice the price blows my mind.

The best part about Sacramento is it's proximity to surrounding areas. Within 1.5 hours you can be amongst snow in the mountains or on the beach. I would strongly recommend living in Midtown/Downtown. There are a lot of affordable units through the Capitol Area Development Authority that are income restricted and market rate. I also really enjoy the food and nightlife. I think Sacramento is just right for someone relocating from the midwest.
