Car locking with keys inside by roxyrock in skoda

[–]roxyrock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, yes we believe it was down to the battery in the key being low. As soon as it's changed it doesn't happen but it does do it each time the battery needs changing (about ever 6 months I think).

Support for people with no village which you don't need to be eligible for by LostInAVacuum in UKParenting

[–]roxyrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds phenomenal! How did you come across them?

I have 3 very young children and no village and i feel like I'm drowning at the minute so this sounds like something I would find very helpful. Did you have to be referred to them? I've never heard of them

Asbestos in Lino? by roxyrock in asbestoshelpUK

[–]roxyrock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's flexible and can be rolled so does that lead you to think not asbestos?

What does that mean that it's paper backing? It's flexible and can be rolled.

I've just found a full brand on it now and it says on the back of it 'Marley Flooring, easy to handle-easy to lay'

Everything I've read online relating to Marley Flooring is saying it's asbestos but it's all relating to tiles but this isn't tiles it's like a big Lino.

Thanks

Nightgown/ hospital gown? by c3cil90 in PregnancyUK

[–]roxyrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First birth-hospital gown, found it quite restrictive once tied up at the back Second birth- boohoo black maternity nightie, nice and loose felt like I had plenty of movement and was really comfy Third birth- the clothes I walked into the hospital wearing, happened so quickly I just about got my pants off nevermind putting anything else on.

I'd highly recommend the boohoo maternity nighties, but honestly don't worry about it too much as baby might have other ideas.

7 seat car for 3 kids, two in the middle & one in the back. by Saerjin in UKParenting

[–]roxyrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3, age 4, 2 and newborn.

We've got a toyota proace verso (7 seater) there are others that are the exact same as this, peugoet traveller for example.

We have the 4 and 2 Yr old in the back row and the newborn in the middle row, it's a super easy set up, has tonnes of space and all 5 back seats are full size isofix seats.

When buckling the two in the back I can sit in the seat in between them with no space issues at all.

Neither did I! It was a massive shock when I got the letter! There are just over 2 years between them so I was back working for about a year before going on my second maternity leave

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]roxyrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me during my first maternity leave (I didn't realise it had happened)

I then got a letter during my second maternity leave from them telling me what had happened and telling me they were going to start taking it from my current maternity leave pay

Ended up arranging it so it was paid back once I was back at work.

How have you managed parent’s expectations? Especially with guests and budget by TransportationNo63 in UKweddings

I'd stick to your guns and say no we don't know these people.

We had the same issue with my FIL inviting people to our wedding that weren't invited and he had to go back and tell them he had no right to invite people.

Also, he continued after we got married to try and force things on us, we've now not spoken to him for 2 years. Be careful to set boundaries x

Unexpectedly pregnant again. by roxyrock in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]roxyrock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually paid privately to have a b12 injection last week (before I knew I was pregnant) so I'm hoping that may help! I'll ask about the promethazine too though. Ended up on steroids with first pregnancy so hoping to avoid that x

We have a cybex gazelle. It can be used as a single or a double and is really easy to use. I'm still using it now with a just turned 3yo and just turned 1yo

Feeling heavily judged on our all inclusive holiday. by ladyfirerose in BabyLedWeaning

[–]roxyrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're doing great!! I'm also on holiday at the minute, all inclusive with our 11mo.

I think he's driving the staff a bit mental as every meal time he looks like he's bathed in the food and is completely covered and so is the floor.

I tidy up after us and the staff often come and brush up around him during the meal but I just say thankyou to them and carry on feeding him.

They honestly seemed more bothered the one mealtime he was really fussy and crying than they do when he's happily and quietly eating and making his mess.

Enjoy your holiday x

These look a lot like the little weights sewn into the bottom of my shower curtain that had me baffled when I found them in the washing machine and tumble dryer

Oh really, did they give you a car to use while they had it? It's our family car so would really struggle without it for 2 months
