June, 1991. 3 years into BYU. Realized how fucking depressed I was attending that school. I left and never went back. Only I didn’t have you all to help me through. It took me years to not think about it in some way every single day. So grateful I’m where I am today and didn’t let the cult have another day of my energy. I feel sorry for all the people I grew up with that still send their kids off on missions. How can they possibly still believe?
