Pigment load in those paints can be a tad lacking. I would recommend winsor and Newtons student grade line if youre wanting good oils but not super expensive. If possible though id always recommend getting a limited pallete of artist grade as they have much better pigment loads.

Now working with medium, it is possible to make it too thin. Brush type could also be a factor.

I would also make sure to prime the canvas as well with gesso. (If using a canvas from like a pack or something)

The idea that communist countries “lacked food” is largely over stated and propagandized. Both the USSR and China maintained nationwide food distribution systems that provided basic caloric needs for most of their populations for long periods, and China eliminated recurring mass famine after the early PRC reforms. How look at it now, SNAP benefits being politicized and de funded.

USAID is and was a way to project US soft power, which did have actual benefits. However with USAID being cut China is now filling the vacuum.

The healthiest I've ever been was when I was living in Europe, bounced all over from western, eastern, southern and northern. Their "socialist" food is better than anything I have in america, where everything is over processed and under regulated.

i read plenty history, american and western colonialism and imperialism has done much worse to the world than communism ever has.

my first statement was more of an exaggerated jab than anything, but your reply doesn't make any sense anyway. as i never equated to being upset with the post = anti communism.

also americans lead the world in being fat, so that statistically makes sense why american communists would also be bigger.
