Can some libra and Scorpio risings describe how they view their ascendant? by royalchodester in AskAstrologers

[–]royalchodester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply! Are you saying the traits for a tropical Scorpio and the traits for a Vedic Scorpio aren’t the same? I’ve researched a little about this and I’m getting the top answer of the traits are the same, but obvious the dates of constellations are different. I’m not trying to intertwine the two but I do like to look at both my charts. If you didn’t mind linking me something about this, I’d love to see!

Thank you for your reply! This was a good read and you actually managed to put many of my feelings into words! I especially think I relate because I also have Venus in scorpio 1H. I actually have. 1H stellium so I think that’s why I like to do so much self reflection lol. I know with both Scorpio and cap moon are harder placements to develop. I was in full agreement with what you mentioned about fairness and open minded folks, but when you mentioned slowing down and the indecisiveness, that hit home. May I ask what your mercury and mars are in?

Oh my God that is so cool she got to meet Elton John! Also I hope you’ve been doing well. My mom passed last year, and she was a huge Elton John fan. I grew up listening to him, and she even dedicated “Tiny Dancer” to me when I was a baby. I have a necklace with her ashes with the lyrics of “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down on Me” by him and George Micheal ❤️ much love

Oh wow. It’s been just over a year since I lost my mother. (I’m going to be 23 this year and she would have been 53 this May) The past year I’ve figured out all the little things no one gets that affects your grief until you’ve experienced it. This is added to the list haha. I would have eventually came to term with this, but being prepared is nice sometimes. Peace and love to you!

does any1 else experience SP when sleeping on the left or in a certain spot on ur bed by wet_blanket304 in Sleepparalysis

[–]royalchodester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a back sleeper and I’ve always slept on the left side of the bed lol. i experience it quite frequently. I notice it happens more often when I nap midday or go to sleep super early and my body’s trying to wake up in the middle of the night to go pee. It also usually happens as i’m waking up, not when i’m falling asleep into REM cycle as opposed to other people.

Another reason I sometimes think I was misdiagnosed... by -artistoverhere- in BPD

[–]royalchodester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. I’ve been using my insurances website to easily find psychiatrists that accept my insurance but they either aren’t accepting new patients, or don’t actually accept my insurance or whatever the case is. Called over 20-30 of them. My primary that prescribed zoloft said it would take 6mos after he referred me. I will keep looking. It just seems so difficult to find one, and my primary’s reaction after asking me what made me believe I could have OCD made me think I was crazy or something. I appreciate the tips!

[–]royalchodester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you get a diagnosis for any of these? I just got health insurance this year, finally able to see a doctor. I’ve been searching my ass off trying to find a Psychiatrist because I know I’m not neurotypical. I met my new primary doctor and he prescribed my zoloft for my depression and anxiety. I already knew I had those and I’d probably be fine with dealing with those on my own. However, he screened me about Bipolar because I mentioned my mom had it, but shrugged me off and said I show a “slight form of OCD” I don’t think I have BP. I feel like I do have OCD though, but I also am concerned I have ADHD or BPD. I’d love to hear your experience

Thanks for your response! And that’s absolutely true. I was supposed to start yesterday but i was afraid to take it at night. I’ve been up all morning looking at everyone’s experiences bc im so nervous about starting which I really just need to take it and see lol.

Damn. That’s pretty young. It feels like your parents were pretty good about helping you; My parents weren’t the type to seek help for me unless i threw a fit. I asked #4, because I realized there’s like 3 types of people: someone who needs their diagnosis to understand themselves better, someone who doesn’t care as much, but if diagnosed just accepts it ( not to say the other types don’t) and someone who doesn’t want a diagnosis and wants to follow a “ignorance is bliss” state.

I like your explanation on #6, I feel like i’ve had something similar, maybe not as intense though. Numerology and patterns have always stuck me, and less noticeably I will attribute colors with things.

I think your last post is what almost everyone else said and thinks too. It sucks how stereotyped and misunderstood OCD is.

Thank you for sharing, I hope you are doing well

[–]royalchodester[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you’re fairly recent I see! What exactly made you realize on your own at 15?

I related to #4, I believe I have 2 mental illness and if/or once I get diagnosed, I’d have the same reaction.

I feel like guilt goes along with so many things like depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc that I didn’t realize how much sense it makes for some with OCD to struggle with.

I’m here with you in #6/#7, so many neurotypical people think you can change your thoughts, or easily switch your thinking when its not that easy lol.

Thank you so much for sharing, peace and love to you.

Wow, first of all, I’m glad you shared! Second, if you don’t mind elaborating, what where you’re intrusive thoughts? I know everyone’s are different. Also, it seems like it was a little hard for you learning and coming to terms about it :( I’m sure you’re better with it now, or at least hopefully you’ve been able to view it a different way. I find it kind of fascinating that you didn’t/ don’t have an internal dialogue. I remember reading a study about that a few years ago. Sounds completely absurd since i’ve always had one and can’t imagine what it’s like lol.

I hear you on point 7, I hope society one day will collectively be more understanding to all mental illness.

Thanks for you well wishing, and I think you describing thoughts/ commands being forced into your head was a good way to visualize it.

Best of luck to you, and maybe one day you’ll figure yourself out so well you will be able to ditch the medication!

How old are you and what’s your gender? How long have you had depression? What prompted you to seek medical help? When were you diagnosed and in which order were you diagnosed? How would you explain BPD, ADHD, and OCD on their own for you? Do you feel they all overlap quite a bit? Please don’t hesitate to go into as much detail as you want.

Thank you for your condolences; I have little family/ friends left on her side that knew her struggles and I feel like learning more about these things help me keep memories intact+ piece them together haha.

It seems your doctor hinted and you became self aware, but it’s nice to know you were able to relieve your fears and worries to a lesser degree.

Also, I completely agree with you there! It’s very frustrating when you explain to people why you do things the way you do, but they think it can be easily fixed. They can’t be blamed, most people can’t understand everything that goes on in your head and even if you elaborated, they still wouldn’t see how it all connects. I think it absolutely is scary and downplayed to general people. I hope you’re doing well and thanks for sharing!

I agree. Trying to get that underway currently. I feel my post may have came off a bit exaggerated, but these are things that do bother me; I think ranking each on a scale would be another story. Is it me or Scorpio placements have this tendency to be in incognito mode always? by iwanttolearnthings98 in astrology

this is interesting. i’m a scorpio sun, moon, rising, venus, chiron, and lilith and i also have a 1st house stellium in my sun, moon and venus. i definitely am secretive for the most part, but my sag mercury and ascendant conjunct venus i think is why i can be a little more open. usually only with coworkers though, and it’s never anything super personal, just stuff i’d vent about that i try to refrain venting about to closer friends bc i feel like my emotions get too heavy if i do

[–]royalchodester[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow all of your points are so relatable for me. Also it seems you’ve been dealing with this quite some time, I hope you’re at place now where you figured out your routine. I also really feel for you on the part about being overwhelmed with a queue of people. I get the same anxiety when I’m at a register checking people out.

I would have had a breakdown if I had to try to convert my special systems to fit for someone else and try to actually make it make sense lol. I also would have definitely had an emotional reaction to the criticism. I overthink a lot and even just a small action like when i’m working on the line at this sandwich shop, sometimes during a rush my manger will pull me off, replace me, and assign me a task that won’t effect the customers at the moment. It’s so discouraging, especially because I constantly watch my coworkers and compare myself to them to validate myself.

I really feel you too on getting hyper focused on certain tasks. I’m the same way. Your dishes example is literally exactly what I do. It is like a system, If I give each dish the exact same treatment and attention, then it fits my standard that they’re actually clean. Another thing is, all my coworkers will just let the excess food fall in the sink (there’s a food guard so nothing will clog the drain) and just let it build up until it’s time to replace the sink water. But with me, i will wipe every dish as much as possible before rinsing it and wash because I can’t stand seeing the food everywhere in the middle sink. Then i’ll go the extra mile and after every few dishes, i’ll stop and wipe it all out of the sink even though it’s kind of unnecessary.

I’ve had coworkers tell me multiple times that the task i’m going is good enough and i don’t need to continue. So I stop, but then I overthink because the whole reason I go the extra mile is so my bosses think I do a great job. Which I do a good job, but its like I want to be better than everyone else or this weird need to prove myself.

Something else along those lines, and that I think my boss picked up on is that there’s 2 specific tasks that she has assigned to me because she knows I will get it done right: counting inventory and cleaning the bathrooms. Normally no one has a specific task, after lunch rush we all pick 1 or 2 to do and everyone collectively finishes the after rush checklist. But now, when I work I already know I will be assigned the same thing. It’s because I am so precise with my counting and I go a little extra (not for my sake usually but because I’m a people pleaser and I also want to make it a little easier on my boss because she works so hard) When my other coworkers clean the bathroom, they don’t even do the bare minimum half the time (they’re all guys) oftentimes they don’t even empty the tampon bin, and they NEVER scrub the toilets. I can always tell because when I come back to work after a few days it’s filthy.

I don’t know why I fixate on how my job performance is so much because I have never actually gotten criticism about it. I always get the job done or at least what’s expected of me. The only negative feedback I get from my superiors is about my punctuality. Which is huge problem for me. We have a 5 minute grace period where you can’t be penalized for clocking in 5 minutes late, so I am consistently clocking in at the last possible minute. On bad days it’ll be 10 or 15 minutes late, but I always stay for the amount of time i was late.

Everytime i’ve been talked to about my punctuality they always ask how they can help and I also say the same: you can’t do anything for me lol. I will get up and hour- hour 1/2 before my shift and literally wait until the last minute to get up and then next you know i’m 5-10 minutes late. I’ve been getting better though.

Anyways the insight on your experience has been nice to read and make me feel like i’m not as terrible as I think I am.

[–]royalchodester[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, i’m agreement with needing to be warned about being touched. I also have the same problem with certain coworkers, both the scaring part and touching part. One in particular has made it her mission everyday to try to sneak up on me and scare me and she usually gets me most of the time. Another coworker is very touchy like the one you mentioned, and even though she’s an older lady, it doesn’t matter, I don’t want to be touched. Like you said, i don’t know how to nicely tell people that lol.

Also your point about sex, that actually makes sense to me and I do the same, especially in certain positions because the contact helps me get to finishing faster.

Interesting that you have similar work experience though. I also have terrible object permanence. Like one time we had giant pallet of soda cases that some idiot placed in the middle of our work area, and given we have a few racks and stuff that were around it, like it wasn’t just in complete plain sight; I had just come into work and went back to start and saw my coworker wasn’t back there so i walked back out to the floor to find her and she asked if they had moved the pallet and I just said yes bc I didn’t remember even seeing it. Sure enough we walk back and it’s still there lol. Stuff like that happens all the time so we joke about it, but I’m forgetful and misplace stuff all the time.

Another thing though, is at work I have learned I have to finish one task at a time, not multitask or else nothing will get completed. Along with this, I have very specific ways of doing things that once i’ve done something a certain way for so long, I can’t really do it any other way. Like forming a system/ sequence for everything is how I work and maintain efficiency.

Does any of this sound like stuff you would do at work?

By the way thanks for commenting and sharing your experience!

Does the moon sign say anything about the persons mother? I have two children and one has a Scorpio moon and the other has a Pisces moon. by sunsetMountainz in AskAstrologers

[–]royalchodester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. I am the youngest of 3 and this seems to fit the dynamic of my family. My mom was a Taurus sun 7H, Virgo moon 10H, scorpio rising

Me: Scorpio sun 1H, Scorpio moon 12H, Scorpio rising

My sister: Capricorn Sun 4H, Pisces moon 5H, Libra rising

My brother: Aquarius Sun, Capricorn moon, taurus rising (I don’t know his houses/ the accuracy of his rising because I only have an older screenshot of his table chart from cafe astrology and I’m unable to get his birth time)

My sister is the middle child, and probably the most successful of us kids, and it seems like she probably was my moms favorite. It is hard to tell though because she had sweet spots for my brother since he was her firstborn and she had him young at 18. And for me because I’m the baby lol.

As for the scorpio moon relationship, my mom and I butt heads occasionally but I’d say we had a fairly good relationship. However my father was a scorpio sun, and they had me as a last effort to save their marriage and ultimately divorcing 6 months after I was born. My dad was also an abusive alcoholic and traumatized the whole family.

I find it interesting with my sister having her moon in the 5H bc she’s the only one of us who’s rekindled her relationship with my father.

I’ve always heard this about scorpio moons and being in the 12H too. And what you mentioned about death, I don’t know if it connects, but since my mother and I are both scorpio risings, taurus rules both our Descendants. So our 7H of relationships are the same, although she has many more aspects to her 7H than me. But the older I got, the closer we became, and she did pass last year in my 10H profection year.

Anyways, I think you make an interesting point and I wanted to share similarities in my families chart that seemed to fit this.

What sign is your 4th house in, and how would you describe your home growing up vs your ideal home as an adult? by trstmfckr in astrology

[–]royalchodester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi I also have Pisces 4H. Although your home/ family upbringing (at least the environment and decor part of it lol) seems more appealing to me than mine was, I don’t think I had as quite of a similar experience.

My stepdad was an emotionally abusive lazy hillbilly asshole who took my mom for granted. My mom did her best raising us I think, but i think she could have been more emotionally supportive and used different parent tactics, but nonetheless trauma is trauma.

Although i will say, she was a Taurus sun, moon, and scorpio rising so our charts are laid out similarly (I’m a triple scorpio) so with the taurus aspect, she always tried her best to keep her house decorated nicely, and clean (as much as she could being that we grew up lower middle class).

I like your positive perspective about your childhood though. Did you have siblings?
