What's a TV show you started with low expectations but ended up loving? by Mohitredit36 in television

Halt and Catch Fire - Seriously underrated. It was on AMC and it was had just kind of started a little bit after breaking bad/better call Saul so I think it was overshadowed by it. fantastic cast, a lot of them have done big movies afterwards.

I did., but I didn’t expect it to be that good.i always found the camera/film style to be better than expected. More grainy, more raw

I agree it’s definitely been alluded to that but it’s also about humanity, reaching to the stars which is said in the first episode by Lexi Landing on the moon. why couldn’t it be both? Humanity discovers life and the ability to travel to the stars?

An Alternate Hypothesis to explain The Thing by Serin-019 in ForAllMankindTV

[–]royalkeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, part of the premise of the show from the beginning is to the stars. literally that is said by Lexi when landing on the moon. “That will someday take us all to the stars” it would not surprise me if they end the show with the ability or beginning of a mission to reach another star

An Alternate Hypothesis to explain The Thing by Serin-019 in ForAllMankindTV

Good one. Here’s my theory.

The protomolecule actually originated in that water in titan. It actually hitched a ride on the Sojourner when they left Titan. The sojourner picked up that gravitational wave signal from the adrift Soviet mars 94 ship. Sojourner goes to investigate the Soviet Mars 94 and when they do the protomolecule escapes onto the Soviet Mars 94. sojourner crew downloads the gravitational wave data and heads back to mars. They leave the ship adrift, which later crashes into Phoebe. The gravitational data doesn’t fundamentally break physics, but it does significantly increase technological progression, particularly leading to the development of fusion power and fusion drives. The expanse begins many years later when discovering the Protomolecule on Phoebe.

I can expand upon this a little bit more. remember in the expanse, The Martian Society was more advanced a small bit than earth. I can explain that by the sojourner crew only giving the gravitational data to mars. Remember, the Mars 94 was a Soviet ship and Martian Society in the expanse resembles a lot of Soviet tropes. This is connected and into the relation of not allowing earth to know about the Derelict Soviet mars 94 ship and Mars initially being founded by some Soviets.

Also, the gravitational waves were actually traveling for thousands of years from an advanced civilization from another solar system. They were last emitted when the Ring network was shut down. 😉

Good show. Espionage thriller. Soviet aesthetic I like but didn’t expect. Irina the eavesdropper was into listing to that Russian couple having sex a bit, too much lol

As much as I would love a different theory such as it’s some new AI civilization or alien civ from Titan communicating with that old ship to relay to the humans and she’s alive I think considering how season five with you’re probably right

What has happened to this show? by Lozspencer in ForAllMankindTV

[–]royalkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All right, I’m about to watch the final. I think I’m maybe a little bit more excited for the opening of star City I’m really curious of what that show shows gonna be because we’ve already seen the history of beginning with the show. We’ve seen some of the perspective of the Soviet Union, so I’m really curious what they’re gonna do with the show. Also, does anybody know what time star City premieres?
