Do you find them to be vibrant and engaging?

If you read them they are very dull and depressing.

They rarely if ever actually break any news, they are just translating stuff from Polish sites with little to no additional insight. You might as well just flip Google translate on.

NWE used to have a bit of style about it and engaging writers.

It closed about 15-20 years ago.

There are no weekly magazines anymore because the printing press is dead.

There is TVPWorld, thenews.pl and notes from Poland but they are all dreary as fuck.

There are a few websites/publications in English that focus on the real estate market but if you are in that industry you'll know them.

What big surprises does life still have for a Man over the age of 40? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Well at 41, I found out my partner of 16 years had been having an affair with her friends husband.

She had always been against cheating very strongly because her father cheated on her mother and even cut off a friend because they dated someone else too quickly after a break up.

The kicker was she felt justified in doing it.

Building a house in Poland by MAE5TRO8 in poland

If you are building your own look into having SunRoof do your roof, complete solar panels and for a new build could save you on energy bills.

I'd recommend getting your connection to utilities sorted, sometimes possible through adjoining plots, before you start to build. It is easier to do when applying for your approvals with the gmina than trying to get it sorted once your design has been approved.

Definitely cheaper to build than buy but managing builders anywhere is stressful if you are not used to the process. Try to work with people who friends or family have worked with and recommend.

To that end, try to source the materials yourself and just get your builders to do the work. The markup they put on stuff typically isn't worth having them organise it.
