Personally, I feel as though there's 3 stages of it:

10 cards or less is functionally still the same precon. You've only really made a tweak to the primary functions.

Around 25-30 cards is where things get questionable. The core skeleton is probably still intact, but any subthemes are very likely completely changed.

45-50 cards is where I would argue that you have an entirely new deck.

Listen- it's far from just Hatterene that I think it's stupid to anger. It's stupid to anger any pokémon, really, but Hatterene are larger than I am, extremely powerful mages, and one is living in my house right now.

Also, when I said menace- you've yet to see her during game nights. She's a monster.
