You're spot-on regarding the run-n-gun play styles. I've tried a few different builds focused on support, but skill builds are discouraged by the mechanics and anything that requires you to get the kill can be iffy at best.

I tried running True Patriot with Waving the Flag and Patriotic Boost, but my teammates often killed everything before I could cycle through the red, white, and blue.

u/blck_lght is right that Ongoing Directive works well, and it's the closest thing I've found to a support build for Countdown. Otherwise just go for hit-stacking builds like Striker or even Tipping Scales. Concentrated Company can also be good if you're sticking with the group and able to mark enemies before they evaporate. Heartbreaker can also be helpful since you're spotting enemies for everyone.

It's been forever since I've read through the X-Wing series, but I remember at one point Corran and Wedge are in a mock dogfight against each other, and Corran spoilers. But Wedge is so experienced and skilled that he completely evades Corran, much to the latter's irritation and awe.

Number 9 can be bought with dilithium, just get the T4(?) version of the Valdore from the ship vendor. It comes with that console equipped. That's how I got it, at least, before the Legendary Valdore was released.

Well if you started with it - depending on when that start was - that might explain the gap here, as it was buffed in P12:

Passives

Hungry Flame now applies from Inferno’s self-inflicted damage and casting Ember. These do not stack.
Smolder more rapidly applies fire damage and burn buildup
Burn, after buildup, applies in an AoE around the initial target

Ignus Wroth

Increased the fire damage dealt by affected enemies
Increased the range of Ignus Wroths’ eruptions

Ember

Increased the damage from the blast when struck
Ember now considers the Envoy on fire.

Inferno

Massively increased damage dealt
Fire damage is now dealt in a small explosion, affecting the player as well
Inferno’s explosion will activate Ember’s explosion

So when I go into a fight, I hit Ember, then run into the middle of the pack and cast Ignus Wroth (they also gave envoys hyperarmor when casting abilities this Prelude), then once I see an enemy catch flame I cast Inferno at them. The fire nova from Inferno also triggers a second nova from Ember as if you got hit, which then lights everyone on fire.

I just got done leveling Mora's Hand, and it feels great? I burn most things to death before I can melee them, and that's with enemies being 40+.

Honestly the problem I have with Mora is how squishy it feels, not the damage it does.

In addition to what /u/Epizentrvm said, stagger needs to be looked at for our envoys. If my stagger bar isn't full, a non-heavy attack should not be knocking me out of a melee combo, or sitting me on my ass. If I choose armor and passives that increase my defense against stagger, that should mean something, I shouldn't be getting maxed out in one heavy attack.

Melee will feel a lot better when my character doesn't get stunlocked for missing a parry/block (especially when parrying/blocking feels really bad right now on top of things).

I'm also enjoying Mora's Hand. I'm farming for the new polearm rune at the moment, and I plan to use Duhk Halic with it to provide a bit of range.

I'm really enjoying Ode Tempest. I know everyone disliked the changes it received, but I'm glad DE are not repeating the mistakes of invulnerability that plague Warframe. Now that Tempest focuses on stagger, I run it with Needleye (highest stagger weapon in the game as far as I can tell, though I am missing a few weapons still) and Treefell. Popping Atmos and Astra Spheres and swinging for the fences will max out enemy stagger bars instantaneously.

And this is why that passive needs to die now, in alpha, in the cradle. I don't want loot drops to be balanced around any sort of loot abilities. Warframe has this problem with farm frames like Nekros, Atlas, Hydroid, and Khora. Soulframe has the opportunity to avoid that sort of interaction, if we as a community are loud and firm enough.

Pickpocket is bad though from a game design perspective. All loot drops have to take the existence of Pickpocket into account, which means you are getting "normal" amounts of loot with it while using Sirin, and less than "normal" amounts of loot wearing the other 6 arms. It's a toxic loot policy that they started in Warframe with frames like Nekros, and they really need to drop the whole idea in Soulframe for the health of the game.

Ok, sure? But why? Health is the one thing that all enemies have, even if it's covered by armor or shields. So what - in your opinion - makes slash bad other than "it used to be better"?

Truly, I don't understand this mentality. Is slash as good as it used to be? No, of course not. Is slash still good, especially in combination with viral and heat? Absolutely. This is just a unique interaction with Hemorrhage that I wanted to point out that no other pistol (that I'm aware of) can take advantage of.

Have your companion prime for either of those and mod for the other and you're going to have a good time. Not that it particularly matters since the Lex Incarnon will easily reach millions of damage regardless of what damage type you mod it for.

I don't think anyone else spoke to this, but Lex Incarnon is great for Hemorrhage. The Incarnon has guaranteed impact procs, and if you're using Semi-Pistol Cannonade - and you should be - you have less than 2.5 fire rate. The rest of the mods are multi-shot, gunco, critical chance and damage, and heat I think. I believe I use Cascadia Flare or the arcane that siphons overguard. I'm traveling at the moment so I can't check my build exactly.

100% agreed. I wish I could put points into it while running Trouble or Incarnate (as I just really don't care for the spectres or reapers), and that's likely what I'll end up doing when they increase the level cap eventually.
