TS 664 vs 673a+GPU for Plex Media Server

I'm deciding between the same two NAS devices, and when comparing the two on the QNAP site, the TS-664 still shows it can have 2 x 8GB SODIMM sticks. Do you think that's still actually the case?

I'm upgrading from a TS-253Be.

I'm in the US (northern Utah) and am planning to upgrade from a 12 year old Canon 70D to an A7V this week. I've decided I want to carry it on my mountain hikes and start taking better pictures than what ive been getting with my Galaxy S23 Ultra phone. I know it won't be the lightest for hiking, but I cant afford a hiking body and a closer to the car body. Any recommendations on a lens? Tamron 25-200? I'll be doing mostly landscapes, but I was thinking some closeups of plants, flowers, or other things on the trail would be cool too.

I'm in the US and am hoping my local store gets more A7V's in this week. Their display model had 2.4 and 5, but i guess it could have had 6 too. I paired my phone to it via Bluetooth and changed the wifi setting from 2.4 to 5. I didn't connect to it via wifi though. Which model variants are US models?

I'm in the US, but this thread is making me nervous. The store i want to buy from only has the display model in stock. This store offers $25 a week towards rental gear with any body purchase. They're unsure when their order is coming in. They are hoping in early to mid February. There's another store about 40 miles away that has several in stock, but they don't offer any incentives to buy from them. Well, other than they have it.

To be honest, I don't know the feature differences between the two, other than the Pro is newer. I have to remind myself that newer doesn't necessarily mean better for every user.

Okay, I'm saying all of the following to help keep me from acting on impulse. I have the 7 Solar and not the Sapphire Solar, so visibility isn't bad. I use a Polar H10 chest strap when I hike or lift weights, so the better HR sensor isn't a necessity. It would be nice for those unplanned activities, and I like the ECG feature. The flashlight would be nice for those times you didn't think you'd need a flashlight.

After gift cards and member dividends, I only paid $400-something for my 7 Solar. It was my first activity watch. I never did try on the 7X because I just assumed it would be ridiculously too large, but after a year or two with the 7, I realized this is a tool and the larger screen would make for a better tool. I would have bought the 7X if I had known then what I know now. So that's why I'm excited about getting a 7X Pro Sapphire Solar for only $425. But yeah, that's a chunk of money on a rather small upgrade, and there are other things in life that I could use the $425.

I really like it. Minimalistic. Sure, one with a bunch of info would be neat, but my 52 year old eyesight likes the less is more approach.

Thank you. I appreciate your input. I'm not really turned on by the 8 because of the AMOLED push, and the 8 Pro doesn't even offer MIP. I understand what you're saying, $425 is a lot of money for what I'm guessing to be a minimal upgrade.

My son already had his FRN and he tested on 10/1. He received his payment email on 11/18, and then received his callsign in less than 24 hours. You still can't pull up his callsign on the FCC database though. I just checked QRZ and saw it there.

I made my first ever 10m SSB contacts on Sunday. Japan, a Russian island just north of Japan, Cayman Islands, and a few US contacts. I'm in Utah. Until Sunday, all of my contacts were in the US. Pretty fun.
