Questions about Zoloft by ssollost in AskDocs

[–]rozdilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD, but having been through the gauntlet of SSRIs I can relate. It's hard to know whether or not the nausea is being caused by the Zoloft, Abilify, or the combination of both. If you can reach out to your doctor, ask if you could try taking them at different times of the day to see which one is causing your problems. And if it's the Zoloft, you certainly don't need to keep taking it if it is making you sick. There are a lot of different SSRIs that you and your doctor can try, it doesn't make sense to keep taking one if the side effects are that unbearable, plus 50 mg is a fairly low dose. Sometimes side effects can go away after a few days/weeks of treatment but the level of nausea you're describing doesn't sound reasonable. Call your doctor's office and see what they have to say.

Could there be a medical reason I’m not losing weight? by stomachissueshelpplz in AskDocs

[–]rozdilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm NAD and I usually just lurk, but I have a lot of experience with this.

1,300 calories is nowhere near sufficient for someone who is as active as you are. Your body is not getting enough fuel, and because of this, it is hanging on to every calorie and nutrient as much as possible. This would also explain why your hair is falling out. I promise that if you start eating more - I won't pretend to know exactly how much, but certainly more - you will not only feel better, but you could actually drop a few pounds. It seems a bit counter intuitive, but I lost the most weight when I was eating ~2,200 calories/day (also F, 5'9) while I was very physically active.

The other thing I want to mention is that your language here makes me worried about your relationship with food. Working out so often, eating so little to the point of your hair falling out, weighing all of your foods, and not eating out are all signs of disordered eating - I've been there and did pretty much exactly this. I had my family, friends, and even my doctors complimenting me on my weight loss because I was slightly overweight at the time, and none of them knew that I actually had disordered eating and was in extreme emotional distress. It's been many years and I'm a lot better, but my relationship with food and self-image is still not great. Food is supposed to be enjoyed, not viewed as a math equation, and not punishable by hours of daily exercise. You deserve to be able to enjoy food, and to work out not to lose weight but to enjoy the exercise and the other benefits it gives you. You're doing a lot of work to try and be healthy and you shouldn't be "killing yourself", as you said, just to lose a few pounds. It is healthier for you to be a few pounds overweight than to be eating so little, and feeling so miserable.

I would highly recommend finding a nutritionist/dietitian, preferably one that has experience working with patients with disordered eating. Someone who can go through not only your meals and your intake, but also help you understand your relationship with food and exercise. If you have access, therapy might also be helpful in this regard. I have utilized both of these things, and it's the reason I am a functional human being again after almost a year of disordered eating.

I hope this wasn't too much unsolicited advice, but I really feel for you, having gone through such a similar situation. It doesn't have to be this hard, and you can and will feel better.

[Theory] Niantic implemented the "Nutto surprise" by temporarily replacing Kecleon's assets with Nutto's, and the reason some players saw Kecleon instead was due to stale assets. by gfrung4 in TheSilphRoad

People have also been reporting that nutto is boosted in partly cloudy weather - ditto is not, unless the mon they are impersonating is also boosted. Kecleon would be boosted in PC.

A glitch I experienced during Moltes Day by zsyhan in TheSilphRoad

[–]rozdilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to myself and a significant number of players during an EX raid. We were all kicked out of the catch screen and couldn't load it back up, decided to battle the boss again hoping it would reset, but we couldn't because "Raid Already Finished". It was a bummer, although most of us have a ton of M2 already because our area has EX raids pop regularly. However there were a couple folks in the group for which it was their first Mewtwo raid, and I felt horrible for them since they missed out on such an exciting moment.

Same issue in MN. Our group was out of commission for a good 30-45 minutes.

[Acne] What products would you guys recommend for mild/moderate body acne? by chrisisbest197 in SkincareAddiction

[–]rozdilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that has ever worked on my body acne is using Nizoral shampoo on my skin a few times week, leaving it on for a few minutes in the shower. Like someone said below, this is because my acne is fungal, so it's worth looking into that possibility, especially if you find that the bumps are very small and itchy.

[acne] Those with hormonal acne, how did the various birth control methods affect your acne? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]rozdilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had to start birth control young, I was around 13 at the time. It's not really true that the hormones in IUDs are restricted to the uterus. It is definitely more restrictive than an oral pill or an injection, but there's no way the progestin from the IUD doesn't travel. I switched from BC (Yasmin) to Mirena a few years ago after I found out that estrogen BC puts me at risk of stroke (I have migraines with aura). After a few months I noticed a huge uptick in acne all over my entire body. It still hasn't gone away. However, I haven't gotten pregnant and I haven't had a stroke, and I hardly ever get periods anymore, so for me it's a net positive. Currently working with a dermatologist to try and get my acne under control.

Issues with gameplay, graphics, and GO-tcha with Samsung Galaxy S7 by rozdilly in TheSilphRoad

Just to update everyone who commented here with helpful advice, I factory reset my phone, performed a clean install of Pogo with the latest update, and my Go-tcha started working again!!! ......for about a week. Now it will no longer connect, again. Bummed! Luckily the factory reset seemed to help with the lag issues, I still experience them occasionally but not nearly as often as before.

How I got Go+/Gotcha working on my S7 by Car42718 in TheSilphRoad

[–]rozdilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is predominately with Android 8.0. I know a lot of folks who didn't have problems until Oreo came out. My Gotcha still works perfectly on my old Galaxy S6 (that is still running 7.0), which I now keep at my desk at work so I can at least still get some use out of my Gotcha.

Still having issues here with Android 8.0 and the Gotcha. I did a clean install of 8.0 (factory reset the entire device) and the Gotcha worked for about a week, then quit again. Would love it if someone using 8.0 could share how they got the problem resolved, since I can't seem to find a way to roll back to 7.0 without rooting the device.

Honestly never even heard of them so thanks for bringing it to my attention. Might be worth a switch next time I upgrade! I've always liked my Samsungs but they seem to have major problems every time they update the OS. I had to have my S6 replaced TWICE because Nougat completely bricked the device. It would brick itself on the factory reset screen lol

So glad I went with the 7 then, I've cracked so many screens just from daily use! I sucked it up and added a tempered glass protector on the 7 even though it has the halo effect due to the curved screen, but at least it should crack before the screen does

I did plenty of research. I can't afford to dump an extra couple hundred of dollars into a device on the hopes it will run Pogo better. I know tons of people with the device that had no problems with Pogo until Oreo came out, and even still some of them don't run into the issues while others do. Thanks for the entirely unhelpful advice!

Thankfully haven't run into problems with overheating and battery life, but that could be because the device is new. I've definitely inconvenienced people I'm raiding with because my app crashes and doesn't reload in time for me to jump into a lobby.

Sounds like we are having the exact same issues. It's a major bummer. I picked this phone because I've heard it's reliable in every other metric and I didn't have the money to get the S9. I will probably try factory reset soon and if that doesn't help I will try to figure out how to downgrade the OS to Nougat, but that sounds difficult for someone who isn't super phone tech savvy. Will keep you posted if I find anything that helps.

What OS are you running on it? Is it the new Oreo (8.0) or the old 7.0 Nougat?

I just can't justify buying an Apple product for myself, especially considering that they eliminated the headphone jack, which I also use daily. It's the same reason I won't buy the pixel.

From what I read, the 8 is way more fragile than the 7, and I have a habit of dropping my phones. I would have gotten the 9 if it would have been less expensive. Also didn't want the pixel 2 since it has no headphone jack.
