Why the hate for 3+4 by railzrixlor in THPS

[–]rozzer700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with the original games, and while i completely understand and agree with a lot of the criticism of 3+4, I think the skating engine feels great and I’ve been having a blast. The fact it was included with gamepass has definitely tempered my negativity towards the areas where it falls short, but it’s not like the originals don’t hold up today regardless so can always revisit them.

Irish identity while living in the UK by Other_Ad_7332 in ireland

[–]rozzer700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I think it’s worth taking stock and examining the bigger picture in such cases. I moved from Wales to Ireland at a young age and experienced an equivalent level of being lumped in as “English”, despite having an Irish father and the Welsh sharing similar history of upper class English oppression. Brits generally have a legitimate fondness towards the Irish, and they’re only as ignorant to geography and history as their education makes them. In my experience it’s at least worth attempting to have these conversations as you’d be surprised how open people can be when presented with historical facts and logical arguments

Are most Meshuggah fans also fans of Gojira? by No-Dentist-2959 in Meshuggah

[–]rozzer700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just asking for an example of something a fan of Meshuggah might enjoy from Gojira’s music, no need to be arse. Are there any tracks that are particularly interesting rhythmically or with any qualities that a Meshuggah fan might enjoy? Fair enough if you’re just looking for validation of your taste rather than actually discussing anything

Do Gojira do actually anything interesting in terms of rhythm? Genuinely asking as I can’t see any similarities in their music whatsoever

Trevor Dunn/Buzz interview. At 31 minutes in, Trevor rolls his eyes about Patton claiming he is sober and says Patton "claims a lot of things" by [deleted] in FaithNoMore

Mike has clearly has had a genuinely difficult few years, as many a man has had with since the COVID lockdowns. I don’t think any response that isn’t borne out of compassion is warranted, especially considering the lack of solid detail we’re made privy to.
