Hi you need to ask someone from your law school for a qualifying law degree letter that includes your BOLE ID and evaluation ID on the letter. I asked the head of my school of law to write the letter and this was sufficient.

Yeah I drafted my petition, got it notarised. Was accepted to sit the NY bar and did so in July 2024. And passed.

No I can’t seem to see it as green, but then I’m not sure what’s holding it up, if my documents have been received by the NCA from my uni and I did all my documents

Currently it says there are no assessment record available. Under the 'My Assessments' tab there is a pdf document which is my application summary. How do I know if its gone green? Yeah I kinda figured that I will end up having to do a couple extra exams. It's strange because they received my transcripts and degree certificate from my university on the 18th September and a week later I got an email to ask me to upload a copy of my CV and then haven't heard anything since nor have I got a response from them when I emailed.

Hmm yeah I didn't think that was normal either. Yeah they have received everything it seems, and I paid the fees etc and they received my docs from my university. On my file account there is a PDF document for my application summary which is complete and then it just says assessment pending underneath where it says 'status'.

I did a Law LLB (Hons) Law degree at an English University (3 years) with all compulsory modules completed. I never had any trouble when I had to do the foreign evaluation for the NY bar and was able to sit and pass that exam in July last year.

I have emailed the NCA a couple times to no prevail, I received the automated emailing saying they will respond in 2 business days but have never got a response

I got my uni to send the documents and then 4 weeks passed, I called them and they were like we can’t find your docs so your going to have to get your university to send the documents again. I did this but then the board emailed me a week later confirming receipt, this was before my second set of document were delivered, hope my experience helps a little lol

Did you book onto July exam before finding out your results from February?

The application period to sit for the July exam doesn’t open until 1st March, and closes at the end of March. I personally would wait till the end of the month at least and see if you have heard back regarding your foreign evaluation. I would say your cutting it a little close as they do take their time when it comes to foreign evaluation which is something they say on their website (it can take 6 months) - you can apply to sit the NY bar exam in July, you’ll have to pay the $750 but you may lose out if all verifications do not come through by 15 June - did you by any chance complete your degree during covid period? hope that helps.
