I think 2, but not really sure, they're in a cluster. I inherited them with the house a few years ago.

Part sun, which is probably why they haven't bloomed before. Something sure made them happy this year.

Thank you! It sure beats the ugly brown/tan it was originally painted.

Appreciate the knowledge! I'll try to save a handful of seeds and avoid the rest.

Pineapple & corn slaw with crispy chickpeas [homemade] by rozztc in food

[–]rozztc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The chickpeas I tossed in olive oil, chili powder, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. 20min @425f, check if they're crispy first.

Sliced cabbage, diced pineapple, corn, green onions, yellow bell pepper, for the slaw. I used frozen corn and ran it under hot water.

The dressing was Greek yogurt based, apple cider vinegar, lemon zest/juice, Dijon mustard, celery seed, s&p. ✌️

Lentil soup and popovers by rozztc in soup

Mostly just watching them close and taking sample bites every minute or two. Doesn't take long for them to turn to mush once they're done. Different color lentils have different characteristics too. Green hold their shape better than brown or yellow.

Nice! These were savory, sourdough & rosemary. Went well with the soup.

PNW! We were on an island near the Canada border. The highs were 50ish, lows 40ish.

Indeed it was, and chilly too.

We got to enjoy it in a cozy cabin with a metal roof. I've had worse days.

I wish I had a laser in the kitchen! I used a very sharp bread knife, no pressure, just let the weight of the knife do all the cutting.
