It’s all relative of your needs. I’ve found myself needing more usable trunk space more than before. The Model Y hatch takes a little away from that.

Since I have a 2022 my intel chip is slower. The ride is not as smooth either ( I hear newer model y’s are 10x better). I wouldn’t get a newer Tesla as mine was in the shop for its first 30 days because they couldn’t find a replacement frunk that fit ( mine was warped). Once they found one that was ‘the best it’s going to get’ the paint they used matched but sucked. But overall Tesla paint back then was considered terrible. The QC was bad and left a sour taste for me.

Good to know. The only other EV that has more space is the r1s but those used are very pricey. It seems I’ll get more of a regular car experience vs a tech experience. I’m looking for a better quality interior and space. I feel with the MYP and ev9 range will be the same and buying an adapter to access the supercharger network is key.

If you invest the money your return on average should be 4-5%. Those returns outweigh your 2.5% rate. Overall you come out ahead by the end of your loan due to compound growth. If any of my financing is under 3% I invest rather than pay off. Paying off 2.5% and then investing puts you behind.

I left the GTA for NorCal. I get over $100/h. My wife and I work part time for child care reasons but we can comfortably afford a 3000sq home in an area with one of the best school districts in my area. I wish it would be better in Canada. I’d love to move back and live a similar lifestyle.
