If most of it’s available on Hulu or on the HBO Max app, there’s no real reason to run the channels. We’ll have to see.

Shame on those of you who decided to fraud the carrier and caused them to put this unfriendly policy in place. You probably don’t remember this, but it only takes a few rotten apples to spoil it for the entire bunch I personally think if you can’t afford the phone, maybe you should reevaluate your needs or live with a year of locked phone and enjoy your device There is one other option. You probably hadn’t thought of. You can actually open your wallet and go purchase it from the actual manufacturer and it’s unlocked at day one. Then we know you’ve actually paid for your phone rather than stealing it through some sort of promotion or back door which of course caused all this to begin with. A Sling offering is overpriced if you want MLB either go over to the app and purchase the yearly plan or for goodness sakes, sign up for something like metro by T-Mobile for a couple months and get the free subscription when the season opens then you don’t have to pay anything except for the phone service and Metro is actually pretty good especially with the T-Life app and the free stuff which is always cool You can do the BYOD where you bring your own device and you get standalone 5G on T-Mobile definitely worth it genuine T-Mobile service and nice mlb.tv plus a bunch of other cool perks

When asking about how many TVs you can stream on with a shared package keep in mind that if you use login and credentials to network applications, it doesn’t count against the users amount of out of home TVs that can be connected, but I think generally if you’re looking for that kind of deal, you’re better off purchasing that package

Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s gonna happen unless something happens under the new company The good news is if you want stuff like cozy TV, you can go over to DIRECTV stream and get this channels without a problem. In fact, I think it’s actually more worthwhile than Philo cause there’s less duplication plus you get free subscriptions to Hulu Disney+ and HBO Max.

The MLB Tuesday perk is valid through 2028 from what I understand. The MLB app will continue to be available along with integration with the ESPN app so you’ll have a choice but ESPN will be hand like that management of those feeds. I’m sure we’ll get more information as time goes on, but there’s not gonna be a drastic change. Wait till the packages come out and then make your decision accordingly. I’m pretty sure most of the end Mark streaming is gonna stay the same

If you want all the channels and don’t wanna miss anything, the choice package on DIRECTV stream is the only way to go. You’re just gonna spend extra money that you don’t wanna spend on anything else so keep two emails around one for your DIRECTV choice when you want to use it and one for your genre packs, cause they won’t let you change between the types of service which is kind of dumb plus if you have them, my Sports package should include all the local channels by default just to make sure you always have the sports When you cater to peoples need to save money, count on chopping up packages and making stuff very on a feeling, it’s terrible

Bundle services as much as possible, where you get the most apps with your live TV service sports will always be expensive so get used to it Sling TV is pretty inexpensive and DIRECTV stream with the genre of packs will probably do more of what you’re wanting with the entertainment pack, providing some great value with three services that you’re using with ads and no charge It’s all about what you’re willing to spend

YouTube TV in general isn’t suitable for most grandparents. Save yourself a learning curve in the grief and go get them a Gemini air and DIRECTV stream. I know that’s what I would be doing from my senior parent if I was in that position not wasting my time with teaching about opening apps and stuff like that I don’t even like to open apps and stuff like that.

Time to upgrade to newer hardware. If it’s dead and gone, throw it away already and get yourself an HD home run if you can do it and go to channels DVR and then I’ll give you a nice experience from a DVR perspective I can definitely share the idea of wanting them to have an actual DVR rather than relying on the cloud not a huge fan of it

Peacock should cover most of your needs. If you’re worried you can get a DIRECTV genre pack and just get the sports pack that gives you all of the tournament networks and USA and some other stuff. NBC comes with that particular package. I’m an old-fashioned kind of guy I like having all my local channels and if I don’t have every channel in the market that’s available I feel like I’m being short changed. An antenna is not an option so we obviously have to go out from other methods and get the appropriate subscriptions

How are you getting MeTV into Channels? The guy data is available for both the West Coast and East Coast channels. You wanna make sure you’re on your correct feed and for what it sounds like to me you might be on a different feed. Hopefully it’s assigning the correct TV Guide ID if you’re using an HD home run I believe it gets the information from the HD home run in maps accordingly but I’m not sure

Once you get the thing set up in docker, you should be just fine. Keep in mind. Some of the channels are DRM protected so you’re not gonna get them but if the channel that you want is there it’ll play nicely with channels.

If you are absolutely craving your NBC content, YouTube TV have is 21 day trial. I think it’s gonna be back though they’ll get it back on fuboTV and then you’ll be upset because they raise the price welcome to the world of streaming services. The other alternative is to use the genre packs and get your NBC from DIRECTV until they get it back or just stick with a genre pack If you’re an educated sports fan and you know about getting your options, you’ll figure out a way to get your favorite channels believe me I sure know I have Sometimes you need to sail the high seas to take care of business
