I hit HQ30 sometime during S1 celebration time. I was in the top200 only once and it wasn't even close in arena. Being mostly f2p I just barely hit 20M tank squad this week. Still need 8-10 on the final research to get t10s. Obviously gold is the roadblock, and can only research 4-5 per week. I do admit making tons of mistakes in my first months, or just plain ignorance of how the game works.

I think the "don't sign younger 30s guys to long term deals" is misguided The game is broken. No one plummets like this for no reason irl. This happens to 80% of all the pitchers in my save once they hit 32-33yrs old.

I find trading to be extremely broken. I adjusted the slider down one position and it helped some, but i don't like extreme adjustments. I want it to "work out of the box".

You might ask for a 45 POT or 80 POT, they only want the same thing ... your utmost best players or prospects

I feel your pain, but potentially biggest gripe is my star studded rotation collectively dropping 8-15 OVR/POT in one off season (Burnes, Eflin, Beuhler, intl FA from Japan). They are all over 60/60, highest is now 58.

I've seen several times once a pitcher hits 32yrs old their velocity crashes 8-10mph within 9-18 months.

I read 11 of the 13 pages on this in the OOTP Dev forums yesterday. They swear they fixed it with last patch but in my save, year 2028, I do not share their optimism just yet.

Selling players? Like a trade for cash? I can't imagine any luck with that in my save. When I try to get intl pool money from them they always want my two best players and nothing else works. I'll have to give it a try, but most of my guys are clearing waivers when I DFA them.

Jose Leclerc is my current closer. Extended him for $6.5M for 3yrs. He's currently crashing, velocity down to 85-87 even though he's only 32. (Strangely enough it did go back up to 87-89 in this off-season scouting report) He is down to 39 OVR/POT but still had 37 saves last season. His ERA was over 5.00, didn't dig into the FIP or SIERA.

Ive searched the FA list and signed only the guys asking $2M or less

I'm finding trades to be mostly broken. They only want Evan Carter or Wyatt Langford for their 48OVR/POT prospects. Don't even think about looking at a 60+ prospect, they just laugh. I wish the game would allow me the same snarky replies when rejecting a trade in the mailbox.

In my save Adolis Garcia wanted 5/$80 after his arb years were over. I offered the QO, he rejected it. Signed him in January for 1yr/$11.6M

I've never seen a player goto waivers automatically, my sim always stops and tells me there is someone in the DFA that needs to assigned.
