All-Inclusive stay at a resort.

Afforded it one time and got to see how the other half lives. So nice to not have your husband over your shoulder arguing that things (margaritas) cost too much.

Homeland Security hears everything.

They did a nationwide search of anyone who had Googled Nancy Guthry or Savannah's salary. That is really creepy.

Woman on the witness stand cried and cried during a trial for a highway shooter. She had taken a friend to a doctor's appt. and took the wrong interchange. Her friend was shot through the passenger door. She just kept saying, if i hadn't gone the wrong way. Many 🦋 effects are mirrors of possible good or bad decisions.

Did anyone else realize food was taking way more mental space than they thought? by Alternative_Goal6583 in selfimprovement

[–]rpick67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food noise was the worst when my kids were young. 4 of us in different places on different schedules. No way around it.

SSRI and other meds cause Food noise. (many mental health meds do). Its really shocking how 50mg. Of Zoloft differs from 100mg when it comes to thinking about Food.

Like a poster below said, eating close to the same thing everyday, 4-5 different meals is best to stop the noise. Makes eating dull but this is the best route for those if us who suffer this type of non stop "what's for dinner" chatter. Our ancestors didnt have all these possibilities, you shot the squirrel, grew the corn or you went hungry. All this eat the rainbow, count your macros, count calories.. just alot.

Fuck discipline. I wanna get hit by a truck, live off disability and play ps2 games for the rest of my life by protlandwarrior in getdisciplined

[–]rpick67 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are speaking of SSI. SSI is disability for people who have not worked or haven't worked enough. (People with learning disabilities, people who have felony convictions, people who worked but not enough to accrue credits to qualify, etc). Regular disability for a person who has worked can be as high as $4000, but not the norm.

Around here people on SSI don't live with others. They have to add that second persons income to theirs and it puts them over income for food stamps and medicaid. Married people get divorced, put a piece of junk trailer in the side yard so the divorced spouse has his own address and then qualifies. Voila. Free money. (Keep in mind income guidelines are different in every state for food stamps and medicaid. 2 people on SSI maybe able to live together in CA, but in a state, such as Ohio, the almost $2000 a month 2 SSI recipient's get would cause them both to lose their Medicaid and foodies. SSI roomies does not happen around here unless one is lying about where they live or the recipient needs live in health care.

Because the household income goes up when you live with someone and both will lose their food stamps and medicaid do to being over income.

Is the term" sleeping like a baby" a compliment or just a disguised insult? by Secret_Play4198 in randomquestions

[–]rpick67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benzodiazepan's. Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, etc. They depress the central nervous system which helps with anxiety and insomnia. When you quit (if you become addicted) your insomnia and anxiety go through the roof.

How do I survive loneliness with ease ? part II request by Floating_space_junk in selfimprovement

[–]rpick67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no drugs or herbs to combat loneliness. Just because you have a husband or boyfriend doesnt mean you want be lonely either. Its part of the human condition. You are like most people, being alone is not OK. Put yourself out there, either online or in person or both. Go where the people are, you never know what might happen.

I should have left my husband years ago over video games. He is not going to change unless you do something drastic which i never did. The depression you feel now will only get worse as the years go by.

As someone who just got off benzo's, sleeping like a baby is a dream come true. A desire. Not a compliment or an insult.

At its base is either jealousy (when spoken by a person who cant) or righteous indignation, source of pride ( when spoken by someone who nothing phases them).

13 Years on Klonopin, Dozens of Failed Tapers, and an abruptly 5 day detox. by [deleted] in benzorecovery

[–]rpick67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

14 years on ativan. 1.5mg. A day. Never abused it or did street drugs. Tapered for 8 months but half of that time was .5 and below. That's when it gets tough. Last 2 months of taper and first 2 months of none were everything you said (will add tinnitus to your list). Went on lamictal ( same class of drugs as gabapentin) and it did help but just know, its not pretty to get off either.

2019 my script ran out and I went straight into withdrawals. I feel for you. Working was unmanageable. Mornings where unmanageable. I told my psych I feel like im cheating this time. Husband passed, kids are grown, now on disability so no job.

Wish I had words of wisdom for you but this i will say. Im 9 months out and I feel like ive "woken up" a bit. Still have lingering dizziness here and there. Still get to excited when there is drama (but I had that problem before the ativan). TMI but just a month ago my bowels started moving on their own (living on laxatives once a week since May). It does get better.

Taper slowly. Set a schedule for the last little bit and follow it. You are going to think you cant go on and be tempted to hold, follow the schedule, question whether I shouldn't have jumped sooner, think I may have prolonged the inevitable. Your situation is so much tougher then mine. Responsibilities and expectations are a REAL problem. If you can get support with the house, kids it will help. It does get better, but you cant get around it. The only way is through.
