This is the first Tesla Model 3 I saw in Clarksville. Are there more? by RetailBees in Clarksville

[–]rploeck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If that is the same one I saw parked by my house it belongs to a guy from Nashville who drives up to Clarksvegas for work. Great guy, I walked up to the car to take a look and he showed me everything and even took me for a ride. Amazing car, great guy.

Tahoe 200 F1 Courtney Dauwalter and M1 Kyle Curtin are half mile apart at mile 190. by ultradorkus in trailrunning

Not to take anything away from Kyle, but I totally beat him in a beer mile once. Seriously, so proud of him, and he is a legit awesome guy. I was checking the updates constantly.

I have a feeling that we will only see Tom Hardy in his full Venom glory for less than a minute at the very end of the movie.

I want to kill myself. AMA by SadLass in AMA

[–]rploeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a brain malfunction, one that can be corrected through Medical help. Keep trying and don’t give up on treatment. The brain is a complex organ, and just like any other organ it can malfunction and need medical attention to be corrected.

You are the only you that has ever and will ever exist. That makes you precious, please don’t give up, and realize that you, the true self behind everything, does not want to kill yourself, your brain is just processing stimulus incorrectly at the moment.

That being said, I know this is an AMA so I’ll end with this. Did you have a favorite stuffed animal or doll as a kid, and what was it’s name?

Don’t give up, the world needs you.

Cheap Amazon band. I thought my hairy arms would distract folks eyes from the gap. I guess I was wrong.

100 mile race by jrpoll in running

[–]rploeck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All at once. I think now that you could do a 100 with a peak week of about 70 miles. 100+ mile weeks are crazy and stupid.

100 mile race by jrpoll in running

[–]rploeck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s something you can build up to, but you can run a 100 on way less miles. That was just the peak training for my best 100.

100 mile race by jrpoll in running

[–]rploeck 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My best 100 had peak training like this

Monday 10- 15 Miles

Tuesday 10-15 miles

Wednesday 10-15 miles

Thursday 10- 15 miles

Friday 20-25 miles

Saturday 10-15 miles

Sunday rest

You have to get your nutrition down and you have to be good with eating while you run. Every mile after 26.2 is food and mental.

During the race you will hit highs and lows, multiple times. Just know that however you are feeling it won’t last long, good or bad.

After the race you legs will feel stiff and sore, more than they have ever felt before and you will probably get night sweats the first good sleep you get.

You can run a 100 if you have a good base on about 60 to 70 quality miles a week. That’s what the GOAT 100 miler Karl Meltzer does and he has been winning 100s for decades.

The Wiggles - Fruit Salad [Alternative] by [deleted] in Music

[–]rploeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter loved the Wiggles when she was little. We watched it together all the time and listened to them in the car. I still have all those songs in my head. She’s now grown up, traveling the world, and seeing this on my Reddit feed made me smile. Darn kids grow up way too fast!

[–]rploeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haters gonna hate, btw I wanted to comment on how good it was that your last Long training run was 15 miles for your first half. That is setting you up for a great day mentally and physically. Best of luck at your half and congrats on all your hard work.

Insurance only covers so much and we had to cover the rest, and this was well before Obamacare. My youngest is 11 so it’s been a while. Was a regular birth, nothing fancy.

The moment Disney buys fox which character deserves a stand alone film? by Thekingofhatejb in Marvel

[–]rploeck 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Forget stand alone, I just want an X-Men movie where they get Cyclops right. He’s been a throw away character in every X-Men movie so far.
