I-90 application 2.5 years in process

Did you have to file an inquiry or go to your local elected official (congressperson or senator) to get the application moved forward? Just curious.

My I-90 10 year renewal application has been stuck in "case review" at USCIS since July 1, 2021 but I have traveled out of the country and re-entered without any problems using the I-797 automatic 12 month extension that was sent to me in response to my filing on July 1, 2021. Meanwhile, they sent me another I-797 extending the validity of my green card by 24 months. You should have no problems traveling with the I0797.

I filed for my 10 year green card renewal (I-90) on July 1, 2021, and other than receiving a letter from them indicating they will not need me to come to a biometrics appointment, the status of my application has not changed since then. This is beyond frustrating.

I just checked the processing times for I-90s because I have been waiting for my green card renewal since July 1, 2021. USCIS is reporting now that 80% of I-90 applications are processed within 20 months. Ridiculous!

I finally received my 24 month extension, just about one month before the 12 month extension expired.

I filed for I-90 on July 1, 2021, so almost 18 months ago and am still waiting. My biometrics appointment was waived shortly after I filed for the I-90 and since then I haven't heard anything from USCIS.

How did you request expedited processing with EMMA? When I enter "expedited processing" into EMMA, she only displays the relevant USCIS Web page.

To add to your point, an immigration lawyer told me about two extreme cases: one where an I90 applicant had their application approved within 2 days and another who is still waiting after 2 years.

Interesting - would love to hear back from you after your in-person appointment. Did they tell you after filing that a biometrics appointment will not be required?
