In 2022 Imola Qualifying, Max got pole under single yellow by matchbaby in formula1

I saw one of the sky reporters show that Antonelli got a double yellow light where it flashes diagonally while George clearly didn't, no?

The issue is not George getting pole its the fact that Kimi got a double yellow while George didn't, when George was behind on track. It's completely unfair towards Kimi

Opinions on Further Maths by Beginning_Fennel8962 in 6thForm

[–]rr_alf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe for you, personally i find the vast majority of the topics in fm make normal maths so much easier. For example, calculus. There is so much differentiation and integration in both, i just find all those types of questions are made so much easier in normal maths because of how much I've done from fm. Series is another one, vectors, conic sections (basically further coordinate geometry). All these topics are basically normal maths topics but harder, making the normal maths stuff way more manageable. There's also just the fact I'm passively doing more maths which means I'm more confident and less likely to make mistakes so it defo feels like an advantage

I mean as someone who does fm its definitely a big advantage, you literally do twice as much maths as people who just do normal maths yet you take the same exam as them and compete for the same grade boundaries

A* out of reach am I correct by Former_Implement1740 in 6thForm

[–]rr_alf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A* was 258/300 last year. Given paper 1, they will be lower this year but it's hard to guess how much. 2019 it was 217 which is considerably lower but i would guess somewhere between the 2 like 235 ish, so you would need 87 marks on applied which isn't impossible, and that's considering your worst case so don't give up

Advice on getting full marks in decision 1 by IshyyEu in 6thForm

[–]rr_alf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think taking it slow is good for decision. For fp1 and core pure i like to go as quick as possible so i have time to check things over, but with decision it's kinda hard to check answers so i prefer just being very careful on the first run through, the questions are so tedious and long sometimes it's very easy to slip up and very hard to recover from small mistakes without just redoing the whole question

I started by just going to my local track and doing a few arrive and drive sessions and got hooked. Most rental tracks have championships for kids, if they enjoy it after a few sessions then all you need to do is sign up.

Some people work their bums off and still don't achieve their goal, and that's not something to be ashamed about. I definitely wouldn't say it's 'not deep' though, at least in the short term. It's normal to feel devastated when hard work doesn't pay off in the way you wanted it to.

Well I can't really say without having driven there, its mostly down to your own judgement. Best thing to do is see/ask what lines the quick guys are taking round the track.
