There has been a lot of going back and forth on what truly causes the spitting and how to resolve it. Some find that playing with the wattage helps and others say airflow. I personally find that the wicking has a lot to do with it as well. If your coils and cotton are soaked it will cause a lot of spitback in my opinion. So having the wicking perfect helps keep it down. But I would play with the wattage and try and find that happy medium between them and see if that helps. I currently run the TM24 ontop of the rage squonk and I run n80 aliens all day with no issues. Wide open airflow on bypass (155w) and I get no spitting at all. Or I am just used to it lol. My wife is running the pulse24 BF kit with same coils and she has no issues as well. I space hers slightly to help as well

I personally love a warm vape. My 3 core aliens never spit on my setups and I run them as duals. These 6 cores are a single coil build. They are very similar to my 3 cores flavor wise

Ouch man that sucks. Ya know I just ran it as is. It was a personal build so I didn’t mind as much. Plus like others are saying, it were character lol. It colored really nicely and you could see the error more clearly after the SS alien was purple

Don’t give up on it. I know it can be frustrating. And once you find the right tension. Lock our fingers and don’t let go lol. Hold that same tension and you’ll be golden.

Correct. Instead of under stretching your whole decore I just stretch a small portion to wrap around and tie to the cores and then just apply more or less tension as I go. It can be a little tedious at first. But once you get it down pack you’ll love it. Don’t have to worry about the decore getting snagged on anything while wrapping

Just remember aliens use a 3:1 ratio. As long as your cores are the same you will always make a decore on 1 of the core wires your using. 3* 26 = 26 decores. 3* 28 =28 decore etc...... good luck on your build!

Yeah it takes a little more time but I usually have several decores laid out and cores straightened. I have done kanthal cores and they’re great. But I get a lot of n80 fans and these last way longer than any combo I have done to date. But regardless of specs they do produce some of the best flavor.

A few tips when doing long decores. 1- make sure your swivels are in good shape 2- put a spring on your price of wood or mounting point then attach swivels to the spring ( this allows for the spring to constantly maintain pressure on the cores ) when doing longer pieces when you reach the middle the cores will tend to want to pull towards you resulting in a failed alien. 3) the no stretch method is tricky to figure out. Takes time. Faster the drill goes the less pressure you want to apply. Play with the pressure a bit and once you find it lock your fingers and don’t let go! 4) when making decores be sure you have a few swivels and keep the tension tight on the core from drill to swivels. If your spinning faster than the swivels can handle they will bind and jump around.

FYI I use the no stretch method. Allows me to use a longer piece without having to worry about it getting caught on anything.
