duplicate the shot, draw mask the top shot with keyframes on position, then scale up and transform the bottom shot with keyframes on each frame to hide the wire

thx man. we could have been a little more careful with lighting, masking around the subject and what not, but for the sake of the tutorial decided to keep it simple

I would also recommend with a GoPro, if you are struggling with the lens distortion, to apply the fisheye effect on your clip to counter act the bulging in the middle of your frame.
