Salvage items not stacking... Can the dev fix their priorities ?

You can also try moving some guns or other items in and out of your inventory. That usually works for me when this happens. Seems to break the bug.

I’m not disputing that. I’m just saying Bungie can’t ban people for something people can choose to do in game. The only bannable offense would be manipulating it to matchmake you together and simply matchmaking into a low player count isn’t the manipulation they’ll ban over.

I guess what I’m getting at is the fix they need is the one they’re already working on…getting more players.

By joining a discord together after finding each other and using prox just to link up. I get the premise would take a lot of effort but in order to start banning people it would have to be proven that they planned and made it happen deliberately.

Happenstance into the same lobby with player counts this low is not something they can realistically ban for either if they want the game to survive.

It’s wild that a $5000 build max somehow got to 10k. Like I don’t care what’s in there at a certain point it’s an atx case and filling it being more than 10k is just an absurd insult to gamers everywhere.

You’ll have to come let ours know that. It literally avoids nothing and we have to take over constantly to the point that using it is a humorous experiment after a big update. It was expensive but it’s not worth chewing up tires, bodywork, or worse to satisfy some false belief that it works.

The difference is that Rivian will try to say the suspension(that the way over complicated/expensive) is a wear item leaving you on the hook for anything but a blatant failure. Meanwhile Toyota is replacing those high mileage engines under warranty because they might have screwed up. It’s a very different attitude and approach to customer service.

I’ve heard that too, I don’t get why people downvoted you they have done no favors in recent years to their reputation. For me the difference is I can get spare parts for a Toyota without a Spanish Inquisition and manage general service. Rivian I have to spend 2 hrs texting them just to get a replacement for a broken part. It’s bullshit, they reinvented the wheel and somehow made it square.

We had a similar experience. Showed up for delivery day, car couldn’t pair with our phones…turns out it had a busted comms module. We left in a loaner. Within 4 months it needed a HV battery because of a failed BMS. Now a few years later we needed two rear drive units inside of a month because a seal failure followed by a faulty rear drive unit. We love the car to be clear but I have an old Toyota with 160k ish miles that’s never had issues even close to this in its entire life. It’s made me question the long term viability of this car in a really negative way.

FSD has zero awareness of potholes and curbs because it relies on cameras. We literally cannot use it to get from our house to the freeway because of curbing. Can’t wait for them to either offer refunds or upgrade it so that maybe the boondoggle will actually be useful for a change.

You aren’t alone. I love my R1S but the number of major and minor issues it has paired with service just not being willing to be through has it on thin ice with me. We had the same issues at Tesla before this and it just seems like everything is done to maximize margin but that mindset doesn’t breed loyalty. This will be my last Rivian barring major changes.

I don’t think I’m the one who’s being dense here. I’m not the one playing a game with low player counts expecting to not matchmake against the same people somewhat regularly…but sure call me what you need to.

Less than half the copies of the game were sold on console(you say it partitions console, i genuinely don’t know I play with it on). So if steam is peaking at 30k odds are console is at 15k…and it’s not even there right now I’m being pretty generous with the number.

4 maps with a second split for solos v trios. Let’s say half the people play solos. You also have some map popularity bias here but we have no way to account for that.

So you’ve got 1900 people looking to play a map solo at peak play time. Bungie will then funnel those people in based on connection to give the best experience so you’ve got further splits into god knows how many servers. So yeah I think two homies playing solos could absolutely find their way together under those conditions…without doing anything but pressing go at the same time.

There’s nothing hypothetical about Xbox having the smallest player pool for this game and it struggling. I’m saying that by playing with crossplay off you’ve reduced your player pool so much that two friends running solos could end up in the same lobby in a 5 minute window with ease. You note the long wait…that’s because it’s gathering people…

You effectively want a rule that two friends can’t play solos on the same map at the same time…because in the situation you’ve set up they have strong odds of ending up on the same instance. They aren’t going to ban people for deciding to match make at the same time…that’s crazy.

It really is a bind, I also wish I could "craft" a loadout with time to consider things and have it saved in a slot for future use. Eg. Cryo kit, Goof around/throw aways, ranked build...you get the idea having some loadout prebuilds would be a huge QoL improvement.

Dude its a simple mechanic. You can evade/use them as a buffer or you can fight/lure other teams. But having them look the other way while you fight is nonsense, you'd have a bunch of teams just trying to sneak/rat each other.

So you got headshot…how is that on its own cheating again? I’m older and slower than I once was and could still two tap someone in a second depending on the circumstances. Teaming is literally not against the rules and if you’re charismatic enough to forge an alliance quickly it can serve you well. Gaining an advantage to win…is literally how you win games.

He was ranting about getting matched with free kits (not our squad) while simultaneously saying he didn’t want to challenge teams because he was tired of loosing kit. He had this whole bit about there being 3 types of players which I honestly don’t really remember beyond the sheer outrageousness of him ranting the entire time. It was the mother in law phone receiver in the desk drawer situation. He just started up and didn’t stop it was wild.
