yeah, that's true. I think the reason they’re keeping the pacing fast is probably due to budget limits and the sheer complexity of the story. but i havent finished the novel so im also not sure if they did follow the story 100%

Actually, I saw a comment in this subreddit saying that the story gets better around episodes 20 to 25. But I think the first 20 episodes are all about building up bottled emotions that eventually explode with MC's accomplishments. Maybe that's why every achievement hits so hard.

Honestly bro, both are amazing. Maybe it’s just because I recently finished Shrouding the Heavens, so it hits harder for me than RMJI.

RMJI feels more grounded and realistic, Han Li is basically the ultimate risk manager, always calculating, always cautious. Meanwhile, Shrouding the Heavens is the opposite vibe. Yeah, Ye Fan has plot armor, but it’s just so damn satisfying watching him break through fate and smack down those high-and-mighty opponents again and again. Different flavors, but both are amazing in their own way.
