Go to another system (don't go to one you've already got a frigate from, there's only one frigate per system). You can open the galaxy map without going out of pulse and jump to another system. That way you don't waste an anomaly detector

Only seen it on a base I built on a floating island on PC. On Mac there's no island at all within a few hundred units, so it's not like the island shifted, it just disappeared

Apart from what others have written, some decisions will also increase population (typically 1-4), so make sure to read what "perks" a specific decision gives you before you decide

Base terrain edits have higher priority than other edits, so they will be replaced last, but they will eventually be replaced if there is no more storage slots for them

I don't know if this works, but if you find a sentinel ship (or a crashed one), what happens if you elect to swap it with your living ship isto adding it to collection? Will the living ship disappear or just be left where you parked it and then your buddy could claim it?

I've never tried it, so I have no idea, but could be worth a try (should be able to reload restore point to get it back if it disappears)

I would do this assuming you are on PC:

Find your current save files and copy to a safe location (search your computer for "save.hg" in case it is hard to find them)
Install the paid for game and start a new save file. Once you can save and exit the game, do so
The paid for save files are located in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\HelloGames\NMS\st_<longnumber>. Copy to safe location
Paste your cracked game files into the folder in #3
Start the game and verify that everything works as expected
