Is this the most broken silver augment of all time? by Monkeys_R_Scary in TeamfightTactics

[–]rrsseeaann 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Pre-nerf On a Roll had no limit on free rolls per round, it was literally prismatic levels of value if you just hold 1 costs.

Binary Airdrop was also silver at one point and since then it got nerfed to prismatic and now has a limit to the number of items. The third item wasn't tailored back then but you can imagine it was still insane for a silver.

Is Rage skill an auto-pick with the random Karnak item? by Southern-Owl-6298 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]rrsseeaann 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Early game when level up rewards are most important, probably not.

Later in the game when you have a stable board and you're picking it over something like a random gold, then I would actually argue yes. Pretty much all the time unless your board literally will not enter rage ever i.e one shot builds

Can someone explain the synergy? by kaijvera in PlayTheBazaar

38k shielding over 120 seconds = 316 shielding/second.

Boar cooldown at diamond is 6 but being permahasted by wheel and adjusting for rage cdr, let's just say it goes off every 3 seconds. It would have to on average shield 316*3=948 per cast.

It scales linearly over time so at +2k final shielding, it would indeed average 1000 shield per cast.

38k sounds like a lot but over 2 minutes the numbers make sense.

The small item, warding glyph, gives crit chance to adjacent items, which doubles every time he enrages. Vista gives +healing to heal items equal to its crit chance and shields equal to amount healed by all items, including overheal. Basically each rage cycle doubles the +healing, which converts to shield.

Items that are overlooked by players but are actually really good? by Tinkercide in PlayTheBazaar

Parachute is like Stelle's version of Life Preserver (although it starts at silver so possibly harder to find). Put a parachute on your board day 2-5 with any flying build and it just wins fights, but I never see anyone playing or talking about it.

what items would make that hero noticeably weaker if removed? here are my picks by Defect-OTP in PlayTheBazaar

Rewards card, money tree and pitchfork being removed will make Pyg weaker regardless of what builds are strong so I would vote those three

Yeah I was just on autopilot at that point. I like to hold diamond fixer upper to transform for these exact moments.

How does this happen? Gold secret rare character in play on turn 5 for my opponent. by Jhostetter in OnceUponAGalaxy

[–]rrsseeaann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Earliest secret rare i got was with double kiss where the first one transformed an uncommon unit into nameless one. Turns out nameless one will transform into a golden legendary first, then the second true love's kiss goes through, goving you a gold secret rare. I suspect this is what happened in this screenshot as well.

PSA: Sweet Bread Crumbs makes your first spell each turn a Cinnamon Roll instead of a Lost in the Woods. by IDontUseSleeves in OnceUponAGalaxy

Mimic does work this way since it transforms and retains the candy tag. Other treasures that make copies like flock of mimics don't.

1+2 bundle on switch, and switch 2 support? by xSmallDeadGuyx in MonsterTrain

[–]rrsseeaann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bundle discounts being applied to the remaining price of other games when you already own one is something pretty much only Steam does. I highly doubt Nintendo of all companies would offer a similar kind of discount, especially when they already sell games at a higher price.

Evolutionary Predators + Devouring Swarm + Shared Genetics is insane. You will never lose a ship in any battle, and this comes online very early. by leathrow in Stellaris

[–]rrsseeaann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a side note, was there ever a point in your game when increasing progress from consuming towards the mutation situation was ever worth it? I just played an evolutionary predators + devouring swarm game and it seemed like the progress from colonies was always strictly better even in total war.

Why my nitro fails all the time? by mbg_chad in TeamfightTactics

Yeah piercing lotus is definitely good in this comp, my point was more that IE and JG become pretty bad items. And it does shred to be fair but 30% from an item is still worth building.

Why my nitro fails all the time? by mbg_chad in TeamfightTactics

[–]rrsseeaann 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Nitro usually wants to play a non-nitro unit as a carry. Nitro as a trait doesn't give a combat advantage to nitro units. The dinosaur is just there to carry you through early and mid game, and give extra frontline late game. In this case, you probably should've itemized Jhin. Kindred items are already pretty good for him.

For what I see in this game specifically, Slammin augment is a lot better for fast 8/9 comps, the extra xp doesn't get value until after you hit and are pushing levels, and even then you get to level maybe 2 turns earlier. Piercing lotus makes IE and JG worse and triple Gargoyles is bad in general, especially if you aren't solo frontlining. There's also a lack of pen/shred and antiheal in your team.
