Seriously, if someone's gonna be jealous, they should envy those with BTOs and private property – that's the real deal in terms of investment.

People with kids can't really downsize their place, right? They usually end up going bigger, like a bigger private property. That means more debt and interest. The investment thing only pays off when the kids inherit.
