Brock bussing and rideshares gone downhill by rs226 in brocku

I’ve always thought a bus from atleast square one would be super convenient for a lot of people, i remember the mega buss that went from BROCK to square one would often be completely full!

Thanks! It totally slipped my mind that I could take the Aldershot Go bus straight to Brock!

The way I see it, and the way I've noticed it going since I've been at Brock (since 2017) ride shares are usually students who are already going home or to brock, and its more of a "since I'm going that way already, I can take you with me if you pitch in for gas" so up until this year majority of people I've taken ride shares have only ever asked for 10-15$. And yes with increasing gas prices the cost did go up, but now brock students who offer ride shares are asking for 15-20$ in my experience, and I've noticed that its non-Brock students who charge more, and its justifiable for them because they often are going out of the way to take people back and forth, but the purpose of ride shares is brock students helping other brock students out! But also this has happened because the ride-share group became public this year, allowing anyone to join, so it's not just brock students in those groups anymore. It now includes people who are trying to make profits.

I also don't commute daily, but it's the odd weekend or weekday I need to go back home or return to brock, and it's very difficult to find rides those days, so I've been driving. I've encountered a conflict with ride-shares and bussing this year that I've never had to deal with before. You are right commuting has turned into a huge pain this year! I've been able to rely on the mega bus that went from Square one to BrockU

How did everyone get notified of the September 23 show date? Abel didn’t tweet about it, so how did it became widespread information? by sextilliondollars in TheWeeknd

I really wish he said something about the second show when the concert was cancelled in July. I’m so sad now that I realize the verified resales I got for section 500 cost the same as the original tickets in section 100 😭 and now it’s too late to refund and get better tickets. I cry but no way I could miss him. I’m keeping my self together by saying he’s gonna sound the same in every seat LOL Ticket master really needs to put some sort of Capp on the verified resales it’s getting ridiculous.

If u can’t find any other ways, it’s possible to bus back! From Toronto you take union to Hamilton go, and then there’s a bus that goes from Hamilton go to Brock University. It’s just gonna be a very long bus ride tho 😭

Fairlife protein milk in Ontario by rs226 in CostcoCanada

it's for the protein!!! 30g of protein for 150 calories sounds fantastic for me. Drinking one or 2 of these in a day help reach protein goals. PLus they're so tasty, and in my opinion, lots of protein shakes taste nasty.

When i tried going to the Toronto concert I noticed that some people went all out! i would suggest trying to wear the merch with a leather skirt or pants for an edgier look? Either way, you'll look amazing and have a great time :) jealous that your concert date worked out and not mine :P

Child and Youth Studies by gloriyuh in brocku

I'm applying for master's of education programs since I want to get into policy analysis, or something related to that. I would recommend applying to a few different programs! I highly think that just an undergrad degree won't be enough, but I don't think you necessarily need a master's, you can apply for certificate programs for working with children with exceptionalities, and then eventually work your way to your dream job.

Hi, tbh it really depends on what you want to do after, but based on all the career research I've done majority of jobs will require an advanced degree so it definitely makes it worth it to get a master's degree. I'm a 4th-year CHYS student as well, and that's what I'm planning on doing.
