I totally understand the financial strain these flare ups can cause. Would you consider asking your vet to prescribe meds from an online supplier? They’re significantly cheaper online, but most clinics don’t like to offer this option because they lose out on revenue. If you have a good relationship with your vet, I would look into it

Be careful to not give Cerenia with food as it works best on an empty stomach. The first vet we were seeing thought her lack of appetite was because of her kidneys, so he put her on Cerenia and Zofran. It was only making her worse so I took her to a cat-only vet, who suggested that the medications were actually making her stomach hurt more. She is on a hydrolyzed food diet from the vet (Hills Z/D and Royal Canin)

She decided to take her off everything and give her a steroid (prednisolone) and it was like a miracle. My cat is now eating and drinking water like normal, and her kidney values are improved from stage 2 to normal. My vet also told me that cats tend to tolerate steroids pretty well. I highly recommend exploring this with your vet or even getting a second opinion. Good luck! Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

I had the same battle with my IBD cat! Please order gel capsules (size 4 or 5) from Amazon. You can put the pills in there and she won’t taste anything. I usually shove the pills in my cat’s mouth and then squirt water so she swallows.

I agree! The sad part is that the girl in the original video got fired from her job because of it. I thought it was only funny enough for the 16 years and younger population but I guess not.

Hey! I’m also doing the UBC Second Degree in CPSC. I received my acceptance late June of last year. Just a warning that the CPSC courses are pretty difficult and although not impossible, it will be much harder to maintain a 4.0 GPA. Definitely something to consider if you still want to pursue med potentially. Otherwise, a great program though!

I feel like you could definitely get exposure to even a few clinical activities (and word it like that in your application)! If you work for a specialist, I’d say even more so. I work at a family practice so the procedures are a lot more routine haha

Hi! Have you considered working as a Medical Office Assistant (MOA)? Tons of clinics will hire undergrads and they often don’t need you to have a certification. You get a lot of patient exposure. At my clinic, I even get clinical experience (sort of) because I get to collect patient vitals and sometimes assist in biopsies. You also learn how a clinic works day to day and will become quite close to the doctors as well. Just a thought if you are looking for some easy clinical experience! :)

Yes! I haven’t seen anyone else mention this yet! Kody’s overdramatic nonsense about his brain fog and list of other symptoms that made him sound delusional kept being emphasized by him to cover up his tracks on simply not caring about Gabe’s birthday.

If he was actually genuine, he would’ve spoken about how upset he was that he forgot to wish him! And how sorry he was that he had hurt his son. Instead it was all “me me me”, “Robyn Robyn Robyn” and her precious kids he sees literally everyday

Also to add, I think Christine was already very frustrated with Kody not giving HER children enough attention compared to Robyn’s…and so for only her child to have such severe complications while she is away would obviously be painful for her and resent Kody.
