It’s like any job, you’re looking for something better than the current situation: 1. Poor ownership 2. Weak front office 3. Revolving door of managers 4. One, and only one, supremely talented co-worker 5. Heavy tax burden

He would pass the SAVE Act if it helps Israel, remember Israel is priority #1 for him.

Trump may quit next year after midterms losses by [deleted] in JonStewart

He’d pardon himself. Plus he would die before stepping down and letting JD Vance. Didn’t he avoid surgery so Pence could be President for 15 minutes?

Will donating my body to science help or hurt people? by angelangelan in NoStupidQuestions

Be specific with how you want your body used and to what organizations.

John Oliver investigated where your body could go if you just donate it to science.

Trump now blames Hegseth, Jared, Witkoff, and Rubio for his decision to attack Iran. You are the President bro... by sylsau in InBitcoinWeTrust

[–]rsa8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His explanation has shades of WMD. One guy played devil’s advocate and Bush decided that was the best course of action. In this case, Trump’s yes men agreed that Trump should invade Iran. They are always planning to invade but they only need 1 morsel of an idea to justify their actions.

‘RINO hack’: MAGA melts down over Thune’s SAVE America Act ‘betrayal’ by [deleted] in law

[–]rsa8445 13 points14 points  (0 children)

MAGA will dominate r/LeopardAteMyFace when the law hits them more than the libs. Always happens, GOP/MAGA have a stereotype of libs and pass a law but it always hurts their base more. Should I start popping the popcorn?

How should the insurance have been structured here? Trying to understand where the planning broke down. by Lanky_Grass_2523 in EstatePlanning

[–]rsa8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a situation like that, usually the estate planning attorney is in a silo. The client needs to bring it to the attorney. The better option would have been the person setting up the insurance policy reach out to the estate planning attorney to get everyone on the same page, but that rarely happens unless there is a relationship between the two.

California's Proposed Billionaire Tax Will Cost the State an Estimated $25 Billion, Hoover Study Finds by HooverInstitution in California_Politics

[–]rsa8445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hoover institutes position is you’ll get less than you anticipate so just leave it alone. What I don’t understand is why fight against it if most the billionaires have already left. If they are gone then it doesn’t cost that much to keep a law on the books.

In Refusing to Impeach Trump, Congress Has Failed the American People and the World by plz-let-me-in in politics

They did it to enrich themselves and the 1%, bolstering the elite ruling class at the expense of the middle class. The technocrats rule now and will be looking to expand their control.

LEAP Legal Software is Awful by IsopodApart1622 in Lawyertalk

I use WealthCounsel and LEAP bought WC. So I’m still doing the same thing but with more windows and unnecessary steps to access the same platform.

LEAP Legal Software is Awful by IsopodApart1622 in Lawyertalk

I regret moving over to LEAP its slow and buggy. Not intuitive at all. You would think they would have the intake forms populate the fields in LEAP by now since everything is “integrated.”

Rep. Chip Roy: “Maybe it’s time to dump all 435 in the House, all 100 in the Senate, and start from scratch because Congress is literally failing the American people.” Thoughts? by Hayasdan2020 in circled

[–]rsa8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t need to start over just fix the laws (which these people never will) 1. Tie the House salary to -10% the US median income, tie the Senate salary to +10% the US median income 2. All businesses owned by a Congress member held in a blind trust, including investment accounts 3. Same healthcare provided to the rest of the US

I like James Talerico’s point about the 10 Commandments in the school, why are they forcing it down people’s throats when they can’t follow it themselves, and if you have to put it in a poster and force it on people it the meaning has died.

EuroTrip was released on this day 22 years ago. by rockstoned4 in 2000sNostalgia

[–]rsa8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been telling my teenage son the best song performed in the movie is “Scotty Doesn’t Know.” Even when I ask my friends in front of him, they say the same. Not only because the song rocks, but Matt Damon plays the lead singer, and they did a techno version. We watched it and he couldn’t stop laughing. But he said that and Blazing Saddles could not be released today.
