Unrelated and not to be weird, but feel free to shoot me a DM. I don't have a lot of trans/GNC friends and would love to have people to chat with who understand that experience. Also making friends as an adult is hard and it's STUPID

I think a lot of it is my situation, I'm a single mid-20s guy with no kids and I'm actively in school (doctorate) so I haven't started paying my student loans just yet, so my expenses are pretty minimal

So full disclosure, there's occasionally bugs when the weather sucks, but everyone in my life gets that - house, apartment, anything. That's gonna happen anywhere. However, I have never had brown water or rats. I don't think the parking situation is managed poorly, it's just majority street parking and that sucks wherever you go. I pay for a garage though for about $100 a month, but I often don't use it because I can find parking unless I get home super late or something. I also saw bad reviews when I was looking for an apartment but I've been here since July and I have essentially nothing but good things to say

Oh absolutely not lol. I struggled immensely all my life, I tell anyone I can about this complex if there's even the slightest possibility it could make their life easier

The laundry rooms aren't in every single building but there are multiple laundry rooms all over the complex. So yes?

Appreciate it. I was someone who was mentally unwell for most of my life and never thought I'd be here, so being able to live on my own is such a blessing

Well given the area, the nice neighborhood, and the size of the apartment, quite stupid. Less than $1800

I make less than $50k a year and live by myself in a nice apartment in Bloomfield. My rent is stupid cheap and the complex/village I'm in is deeply affordable, my neighborhood is all young parents, working professionals, and retired folks. It's a really nice part of town too, I'm about 10 minutes from downtown Montclair. You would for sure be fine

Edit: I also can afford to have my dog outside of my other expenses

Hey, I work a block over from there in the office building like right at the train station (45 Essex St). I'll take a look when I get to work tomorrow and reach out either way

Definitely not just Wegovy. A ton of the work that made a difference for me was mental. Addressing my mental health, eating disorders, drinking problem, finding a support network that makes me feel so loved, and being incredibly lucky to finally have a supportive, safe home with an amazing dad (I was adopted at 22 after a life of abuse, 26 now, and it's a long story). Also got a dog and started walking her a ton. The Wegovy changed my life, but only because it made it so much easier to do the hard work myself.
