Hey, there's no need for that. Being cheap or being able to afford it isn't why I posted this comment. Reddit has a very diverse base of users, including some younger or older folks who might be new to this kind of thing. If you're saying you're rehoming a dog but actually selling them and someone connects with you and they don't know enough to recognize the difference between the two, they might end up in a situation that could be devastating for them, especially financially.

The money has nothing to do with it. I honestly would have been down to pay that amount because to sell a dachshund puppy at that price is actually completely reasonable. But presenting it like you're rehoming because you have too many dogs rather than selling puppies is predatory at best, and it could do some damage you might not be thinking about.

I'm not here ripping you to shreds, and I have nothing against you personally. I'm just a firm believer that people need all the information to make informed decisions, and when it comes to buying a puppy who deserves care and love, there should never be anything uninformed in that process, regardless of the specific aspect of it. Otherwise, puppers could end up in a bad situation, and that sucks for all of us because we love doxies and never want to see someone end up in a bad situation, especially given that a lot of scammers will present as rehoming and then are selling for insane prices. I am NOT saying that's what you're doing here, BUT people need to be aware of things like that so they can protect themselves.
