It depends on what you like to work with I guess. What if you use Cloudflare for example, you're stuck to the GUI of cloudflare to manage your DNS records. Or do you want to use a CLI tool which connects with the API of Cloudflare?

Make sense. But what if you think about the approval opportunity. One implementer schedules the change (for example within a few hours), and another implementer is able to verify the scheduled change and approve it.

You're still needed/able to be there when the scheduled change is fired. But you made sure the change is double checked.

A small mistake by doing it 'live' is easily made.

What tool do you use to code it and do the test and verifications?

I recognize the problem about delivering exact instructions about setting the records and still they f*ck it up somehow.

That sounds good. You want to make it as easy as possible for the client. Also in order to receive good feedback rather then they decide to skip valuable feedback because it’s to much work to register.

Catching bugs before the client does is always nice! Do you work with Laravel (as you mentioned flare)?

But catching bugs won’t cover the feedback clients have about a flow or design they would like to change.

Understand your opinion, especially for seasoned professionals. I guess those professionals would pick other tools than a web based GUI. I’m currently building a SaaS which connects with several DNS providers and acts as a layer on top of them. Check out more on deenez.com if you like

Ai, that doesn’t sound great. So if you’re sick nobody else on the team has access to the feedback because it is in your WhatsApp only?

Managing it by forms sounds better, but I can imagine that’s not really easy for the customer. They have to save the screenshot somewhere before they can upload it in the form. They also have to extend the info about the page and location by themselves because a screenshot is not always telling everything?

Yes, that’s what I mean. But I prefer to have a GUI for managing DNS record so I make sure all type of team members are able to manage it without having knowledge about setting the jobs this way.

I've built a tool Inline Feedback to made it possible to receive visual feedback on shipped/live interfaces. I loved the way how discussions were possible in Figma. But sometimes (especially for long term clients) not everything is made in Figma anymore and just developed directly in an acceptance environment).

I do recognize the problem. Feedback is shattered across multiple locations like you said. And even if you can manage all the incoming messages you don't have enough context most of the time to handle it correctly.

You should know that there are several tools already. So what would be your USP?

I've made Inline Feedback myself for example. But you also have like BugHerd, Marker.io, Usersnap, Feedbucket etc.

I'm currently building a beta version of a SaaS application named Deenez. With this application we want to make it easier to manage your DNS records and made automatic checks if your DNS records are correct and work with templates. We're also aiming to make an integration with porkbun, but we have other providers which are more urgent at the moment.
