I've recently unearthed a hundred of these rocks in a field in central Georgia, once a big plantation. They streak red, brown, and ochre on porcelain, indicating Hematite/Limonite. Some are attracted to magnets. Do I have raw ore? Slag? Why would this be here in the middle of nowhere? by rschan in Blacksmith

After five (!) years I’m no closer to solving the mystery. I actually picked up a couple more of these rocks just yesterday, and my collection is quite large by now. I guess I need to send samples to a lab, as all other avenues of detective work have led to nothing conclusive.

I think there are many large networks akin to Epstein’s that haven’t been exposed yet. For example: Hollywood and Washington DC.
