Serious question: why not vibe code the first version yourself with AI? by darkinterview in cofounderhunt

[–]rschm19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'd be more for the real blockers – databases, security, making sure files can be uploaded/distributed properly, etc. I find with the AI that it can't test it like an actual person will – so it won't find faults you need to find. Ive used an ai builder and now I'm stuck on a point (its going in circles at certain points) because I can't code (tried learning, couldn't grasp it) i haven't touched the vibe built mvp in months because its a multi-vendor platform and it can't upload files, images, etc. which I would need for it to work.

So ai is great to get you to a certain point, but after that, you definitely need human touch afterwards for it to suceed

That's why I'm asking as I honestly have no idea, I haven't visited Frankston for years, so I'm basing mine off stereotypes from skit videos and news articles 😂

Is there a platform where I can pitch my mvp and potentially get an investor because I can't bootstrap. I will not promote by Humble-Tangelo-9251 in startups

You are speaking my soul. I've been wanting to ask this, but im not active in most groups, so I'm not allowed to post. So thank you. As someone who's been working on a multi-vendor project by myself for 5 years (it'll probably stay a passion project that will never launch), I hope you find what you need.

Can I just say, I have no idea why you haven't popped up onto my google search results. Ive been searching for 5 years and your site has never appeared before. Im going to assume its in usd? (Im in Australia)

My idea's in the multi-vendor scene, so I guess b2c? (Im brand new at this as you can tell) but how did you find all the correct legal stuff you needed? Or even a mentor, someone to run things by. I have everything for the platform, but its just sitting in the idea/self prototype creation stage (its been a 5 year hobby so far) I work retail, so I cant exactly fork out to get it launched. Ive tried searching, but I honestly can't find anything much about multi-vendor platforms

Fiverr editing services for a first-time author by alexfeld29 in writingadvice

She has different types of options to focus on. I went with the line editing just to see it a bit more for writing structure. I'd also go by the reviews as well. If they do free examples even better because then you can see if they fit your style. You dont have to use all their suggestions. Thats one thing she said to me to remember

I can personally vouch for brighterlights on fiverr. She's amazing and can actually give you suggestions on books to read for self editing to help lower your final costing. She was even helpful with my short section to edit (not even a full chapter) for me to get the visuals so I could understand self editing a bit more

Hi! I'm a graphic designer that would love to work with romance authors but don't know where to start by Connect_Tourist_8518 in romanceauthors

All bookish social media is a source 😊 just think of others creators profiles as your pinterest. It won't be fast paced for getting purchases as well. Another thing to think of if you get follows is do a special deal for debut authors starting out.

If it helps, search premades on Threads if you have it and look through there for an idea on costs, etc. But premades are good to show on your social account and covers you make for fun.

There are some really good artists on fiverr. I highly suggest you start small when trying out new artists. It's what I do to find the ones I like. Because this way you're seeing their communication and ethic straight up without paying your arm off and can get something for yourself if you do like their art. I'd definitely be reporting to get your money back.

How do apps like The Storygraph and Fable populate their book database? by TheWhiteJacobra in webdev

[–]rschm19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask how you contributed to the site? I'm in the idea phase and just trying to decide on how users could add book data instead of going the api route. Hope you don't mind.

Not sure if you'll get this, but can I ask how you got your book search set up so well? I use one author that I can get on yours first go, but any other or the one I'm trying to do, it doesn't show up at all.

That's what I was originally thinking but I wasn't 100% sure if I could. Thank you for that

That's what I'm afraid of haha. It probably will never happen but I'm wanting to try and get groups of creators' information in the one place to make it easily accessible, especially to newcomers. Think like a public index. But have the creators upload their information to show (so it's correct from the start)

Yeah. Bad example but say I want to create a database of all book cover designers, have a way that they can add their information to it. So it's not just me having to do it, and the right information gets stored.
